About ReproMed at Southeast Fertility Services

This service is run by Mr. Declan Keane, Senior Clinical Embryologist, with 18 years clinical experience and who is licensed/accredited by the Irish Medicines Board, UK Health Professions Council and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology as a Senior Clinical Scientist.

Services available:

Semen Analysis (Sperm Test): In a discrete environment samples can be dropped off and results will be reported back to the client and their nominated referring doctor/therapist within 24 hours. There are no waiting times to access our service.

DNA Fragmentation Assessment: This test is available at our Dublin and Kilkenny clinics.

Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI): We offer a boutique style service where each patient has a treatment plan tailored to their needs and in a discrete personalised environment, treatments are delivered with dignity by a small core team of specialists.

Donor Sperm IUI/ AI: For clients that require donor sperm to achieve a pregnancy, ReproMed clinics offer Donor Sperm IUI.

Ultrasound scans to track follicle development and endometrial growth:- for fresh IVF/ICSI cycles, frozen embryo cycles, or for donor egg cycles.
Full access to blood analysis laboratory for all necessary blood work up, such as viral screening, genetic screening, pre-anaesthetic blood checks and full hormonal profiling.

ECG and physical examinations prior to sado-analgesia for Egg Collection are also available through ReproMed.

All medical services and examinations, including blood work up, scans and medical check-ups are carried out by our team of Consultant Gynaecologists, Ultrasonographers, Nurses (and Consultant Anaesthetists for pre-operative physical check-ups).

ReproMed facilitates access to specialists in Ireland for patients who wish to utilise required clinical services prior to fertility treatments in Ireland or before travelling to clinics overseas.

Mr Ray O'Sullivan

Biography:

Mr O’Sullivan is a Consultant Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with clinical and academic responsibility at St Lukes and Aut Even Hospitals in Kilkenny and the Royal College of Surgeons . He is a co-founder and director of South East Fertility Services.

Mr O’Sullivan developed his interest in fertility surgery during his two year fellowship at Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre and IVF Australia and has developed an expertise in tubal and endometriosis surgery. He lectures and publishes, nationally and internationally, research related to laparoscopic surgery.

Mr O’Sullivan believes that all couples should have their fertility issues thoroughly investigated and all treatment options offered.

Mr Trevor Hayes

Biography:

Mr Hayes qualified in medicine from University College Cork in 1994 and after early training in Glasgow, he received a surgical fellowship from the University of Edinburgh and later completed a research fellowship in Bath, focussing on endometrial ablation. A consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology, Mr Hayes currently works at St. Lukes General Hospital, Kilkenny. In 2009 he was named‘Obstetrician of the Year’ at the second annual Maternity & Infant Magazine Awards.

Mr Hayes continues to work in his special clinical and research interests of urogynaecology and minimal access surgery and has personally performed over 320 MEA (Microwave Endometrial Ablation) procedures and is the registered trainer for the MEA project, in association with the University of Bath.

Mrs Jo Scobie

Biography:

With a masters degree in midwifery from Glasgow University, Jo has been working as a midwife for more than 25 years and as a specialist sonographer since 1996 when she qualified in obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound. In 2007 she returned to Ireland and took a role with the Women’s Health Group, working as specialist midwife sonographer. Jo routinely updates her skills and knowledge in this specialised area by attending professional ultrasound courses in Dublin and London.
