  • For egg collection, I was knocked out, didn't feel a thing but came round in about 20 minutes, you recover in a 2 bedded bedroom, with en suite and shower. The Rotunda Hospital

Review For childbirth, was not impressed. I was unfortunately 1 of 1000 people born with dislocated hips and my hip seized up while I was in labour, the hospital had not taken any account of my medical history, which included 3 brain aneurisms on my mother's side. My mid-wife was changed an hour before my son was born, the second woman was more akin to an aerobics instructor than a mid-wife, I felt harassed, they have no written record of their mistakes or the out of mormal events that occurred during labour, the labour began with a 4-5mm dilation and after 8 hours had become fully dilated on one side and completely undilated on the other side. It was a vacuum assisted delivery and due to a tear I was separated from my son for stiches, and was left completely alone for half an hour in a corridor with no way to contact ANYONE. They claim that this was acceptable. It is not. The spinal tap I was given interfered with my ability to breastfeed. The nature of my own rare physical interference meant that I was unable to care for my self properly for some time afterwards and I was subsequently bullied by my family who were supposed to be helping me, felt under excessive pressure by the HSE and the social welfare office to complete beurocratic and to read and study supposedly necessary information, to something that every single mammal on the planet does by instinct and more than anything else, their over-whelming fear that with a piece of paper a mother is not going to know what to do with her baby was an over-bearing and destructive weight that was self-effacing simply because your mothering brain is not orientated for mindless paperwork. I would say had I not been in an irregular situation the rotunda would have been ok, never chose second best.Ruth, Co. Dublin, 20 Mar 12

Review I am testimony to this clinic & practice. I'd heard about napro & it's success so when I needed fertility treatment this was our first stop. Non invasive, natural & holistic approach to fertility on which you yourself are the practitioner with the help of a liaison person. Relatively cheap ( compared to IVF). Myself, another friend & a family member all started treatment around the same time & the amazing thing was for all three of us, it just was a little tweaking of a hormone here & there & we were all, thankfully pregnant within the the first year. Albeit slightly non PC, my husband I think hit the nail on the head when he said "NAPRO is like a mechanic. He makes sure the oil, water & basics are all the proper level, it's not the alloys & spoiler that make the car run right!" Thanks to NAPRO I have 3 beautiful children.Esther, Naas, 04 Oct 12
