About Life Clinic

Life Clinic is a leading fertility, IVF and gynaecological clinic in Athens, Greece with top success rates and a specialism in treating immunological disorders and unexplained infertility. We deal with all aspects of infertility and offer a full range of fertility treatments and services including IVF, Egg Donation, Embryo Donation, Egg freezing, PGD/PGS, and Wrinkle Treatment, as well as extensive investigation, treatment & monitoring for immunological disorders that affect fertility.

Who are we?

We are a boutique fertility clinic, as opposed to a large-scale clinical department, and proudly offer you strictly tailored treatments and personalised care – everything that you would expect from a highly specialised and unique clinic. Life Clinic is led by Dr Dimitri Papanikolaou, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist specialising in Reproductive Medicine and Reproductive Immunology. He is a pioneer in practices that are now popular trends in the IVF community, such as low-dose stimulation, longer stimulation protocols, ovarian support with supplements and supportive treatments, natural cycle applications and treating immunological problems affecting fertility.

From the onset of Dr Dimitri's career, he paid special attention to the benefits of personalised medicine. The cornerstone to the success of his work is his belief that “we must treat individuals, not illnesses”. This approach was proven to be very effective. It resulted in high satisfaction rates and has helped couples to reach their goal more easily, safely, and at a lower final cost. It is an approach that is widely accepted nowadays.

What do we do differently?

It is important for us to find the reason for a patient's infertility problem, and then recommend a specific solution for the problem, rather than embark immediately on IVF and hope for the best. For this reason, our services are, as we have said, strictly tailored made, in response to each patient’s individual status, problems and needs. The personalised medicine, highly experienced staff, together with the top laboratory conditions and our own protocols, makes a real difference in our patient's satisfaction and success.

How can we help you?

Simply put, our expertise is difficult to find anywhere else. If you have an infertility problem, particularly if you have experienced repetitive IVF treatment failures, recurrent miscarriages, if you suspect immune-related fertility issues or have been labelled with ‘unexplained infertility‘, please get in contact us. Dr Dimitri has over 18 years of expertise in reproductive immunology and with him you can be assured of the highest chances of success. You have specific individual needs that can’t be resolved with a standard ‘one-size-fits-all‘ treatment solution. Your success lies in a ‘holistic’ and personalised diagnostic approach where everything about your fertility is considered and a specific plan of action and course of fertility treatment are developed for you.

For more information about immune-related infertility and how we can help you, please visit our website or contact us directly. You can also follow the video link below to watch a short interview with Dr Dimitri and Mrs Telega, fertility journalist, in which he responds to the question ‘Can natural killer cells cause infertility and how might they impact on the fertility potential of a women?’ (This link is also available from the Blog on our website (March 2022).

Our 4 simple and practical steps

Step 1: Book your first appointment - Complete medical assessment, ovarian function assessment and ultrasound examination

Step 2: Carry out the required blood tests - Hormonal and immunological tests complete the initial medical assessment

Step 3: Diagnosis of the cause of infertility - Discuss test results together and establish a diagnosis and recommendation for treatment.

Step 4: Personalized treatment plan - This is the key to success and it makes a real difference! Not all clinics are able to do it at the extent and depth we can.
