He is Head and Senior Consultant, Cataract and Implant Service. He is Senior Consultant, Cornea and Refractive Surgery. Tan Tock Seng Hospital. National Healthcare Group Eye Institute. He graduated from the National University of Singapore, with a Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He received his subspecialty training in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of British Columbia, Canada.

He is a Consultant, Cornea and Refractive Surgery Tan Tock Seng Hospital National Healthcare Group Eye Institute. He is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He attained his Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) in year 2005, Fellowship from Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (Ophthalmology) in 2009, and was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2010. He has a keen interest in training and education of junior ophthalmologists and medical students. His efforts were recognized when he was awarded the inaugural Baylor College of Medicine Fellow Teaching Award in 2012.
