About Elma McElligott LAc Acupuncture Space Clinics - The Courtyard Clinic

Acupuncture Space is run by Elma McElligott RGN, BSc (Hons), MBAcC, Lic Ac, and is located in East Sussex.

I qualified from the International college of Oriental Medicine with a BA(Hons) and Licentiate of Acupuncture after four years of study.  I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and comply with current UK health and safety legislation.  I am appropriately insured and honour a strict code of discipline, ethics, hygiene and confidentiality between patient and practitioner.

I keep up to date with new research and techniques by attending a variety of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses each year including the British Acupuncture Council's annual conference. I enjoy the variety of general practice, and am passionate about sharing the benefits of this wonderful system of medicine with my patients. I also have special interests in emotional issues including anxiety and depression, and also in using Acupuncture for male and female fertility concerns and gynaecological problems.

I have since been back 4 times for more Acupuncture Treatment and my pain is nearly gone

I have been seeing Elma for about 5 weeks with a seriously painful back problem after driving for 35 years. I cannot believe the difference it made after my first visit; I have a phobia of needles but was put at ease by Elma. I have since been back 4 times and my lower back pain has diminished after each visit.

The Courtyard Clinic is in Crowborough where I live. It is in the town centre and was recommended to Elma for her clinics. It has a very nice atmosphere and the receptionist is very friendly and puts you at ease when you get there.

Acupuncture

I suffered with very bad SPD and sciatica in my pregnancy with yet another 10lb baby! With Elma's acupuncture treatment, I was apple to gain major pain relief as it enabled me to stand up much more comfortably, walk and generally feel much better.

With Elma's extensive medical knowledge she was able to advise me on my symptoms and causes and how to avoid further discomfort.

I have recommended her acupuncture service to my friends who are trying to get pregnant and who are also suffering with pregnancy discomfort.
