Biography:
Vipul’s father started general practice in Lutterworth in 1968. Vipul joined him in 1988 and he is now the head of the practice. He was educated in the local schools and went on to university in Cardiff to study medicine. Vipul’s postgraduate training in general practice was carried out in Leicester after which he went on to further training in neurology, endocrinology and diabetes. He enjoys new challenges... in June 2008 he gained a science degree with the Open University by studying information technology and computing . Vipul is married and has three children.

Rosie trained at the Sussex Downs School of Nursing. She has had extensive experience in Leicester hospitals. She was a specialist nursing sister at the Accident and Emergency department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary for 4 years. Rosie joined the practice in 1998 and has a special interest in diabetes and coronary heart disease for which she has additional qualifications. She is married with two children. Rosie loves an active lifestyle which includes going walking, cycling, swimming, skiing and gardening.

Jane qualified in Manchester in 1976 and moved to London to undergo further training in General Practice. She was a full time G.P. in East London for 12 years and relocated to Leicestershire with her family in 1993. She joined the practice in 1995. Jane has a particular interest in women’s health and mental health issues. She is married with three teenage children who provide their own challenge.

Jane is originally from Kent, having also lived in Portugal for 4 years, her family being Portuguese. She came to Leicester in 1997 to study medicine and remained in Leicester for GP training, which was completed August 2006. Jane carries out minor operations and joint injections in the practice and has recently started offering acupuncture for pain relief. Outside medicine her interests include painting (mostly acrylic) and arts and crafts, she also enjoys attending concerts and festivals. She is married and has 2 cats. Jane formally starts working with us when the new health centre opens in October.

Julie is a very experienced nurse who qualified in 1979. She used to be a community nurse attached to the practice in the 1980's and since then has worked as a nurse with the Leicestershire Anticoagulant monitoring service. She combines her post as the practice nurse with being a lead nurse for the Intermediate Care Team based at the Feilding Palmer Hospital in Lutterworth. She likes reading , keeping fit and playing with her grandchildren.
