I was diagnosed with diabetes for more than 8 years. I suffered from a lot of symptoms related to Diabetes such as feeling thirsty, getting tired quickly. I heard that there is a surgery option in Turkey to get rid of diabetes. I made my research and decided to come to Turkey and have my surgery done on the 8th of August. After the surgery, everything turned out really good, I now do not use any medicine for diabetes. It is all under control. It was a very simple surgery and all the team were really helpful. Basically ,diabetes surgery (Ileal Interposition) is the displacement of the lower part of the small intestine and the initial part. The main target of this process is to increase the secretion of a hormone called GLP-1 from the small intestine. Also, the hormone storage part ( Ghrelin) is removed from the edge of the stomach in order to create other hormone changes to strengthen the effect of diabetes surgery. This surgery is adviced to patients whose BMI is equal to or more than 30.Whereas it can be also performed to patients whose BMI is equal between 25-30 under certain conditions.

Thank you Alfa Health! Being overweight has always been a huge problem for me. I couldn’t wear what I wanted, I couldn’t socialize. I’ve heard about gastric balloon but had too many questions to ask and I couldn’t find anyone to answer. Then this guys came along. They answered all my questions about the whole process. Thanks to their help, I decided to go for it. I’m so glad that I got to meet these guys. They were so kind, helpful and professional. They organized everything and informed me about every little details. All I had to do was being there; the rest has been taken care by them. Elipse gastric balloon process was much easier than I’ve expected. It took around 20 minutes. They also gave me a smart scale and smartwatch that connected to the Allurion app. Their nutritionist is always there to help me and I can get information whenever I want to.
