He has more than 40 years of extensive experience in the Corporate World. He has worked for 10 years in Union Carbide India Ltd., a multi-product multi-national company in various financial management functions viz Financial Planning, Project Planning and Control, Banking, Works Accounting, Cost Accounting, Internal Audit and ultimately in-charge of Financial Accounting. He has worked for a period of 12 years in BAT(UK) controlled Tribeni Tissue Ltd.(now unit ITC Ltd.) producing Speciality Papers. As Financial Controller he was responsible for entire Financial facilities, Institutional Finance, etc. He has been associated with Peerless Group for 19 years. He has been working as President (Finance) of the Parent Company, Peerless General Finance and Investment Company Ltd. he has vast experience in Taxation, Investment, Risk Management, ALCO Compliance with Regulatory requirements of RBI, strategic planning etc.

He has extensive experience in the fields of Finance and Administration. He has worked as Secretary, Department of Production & Supplies, Ministry of Defence; as Chairman of State Bank of India; Chairman of Philips India Limited and Larsen and Toubro Limited; Chairman of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon; Chairman, Peerless Group of Companies.
