About Doctors Ocariza Dental Clinic

Doctors Ocariza’s dental practice started about a decade ago in a modest clinic in L. Bernardino Street, Gen. T. De Leon within residential zone. With just one dental chair, a periapical xray machine, dry heat sterilizer and top-of-the-line tools and medications. Since the beginning of their dental practice, Doctors Ocariza have shown even their colleagues their passion for Dentistry particularly Endodontics (treatment e.g. Root Canal Therapy), Dental Surgery and Orthodontics. A reason for other Dentist to flood them with case referrals.

While working, they found time to be in school again for further studies because they believe they owe it to their patients to invest on enhancing their skills by updating themselves to state-of-the-art techniques and equipment. Even how busy the practice gets, they make sure they are updated with new studies and seminars. Doctors Ocariza are very zealous to provide the best treatment possible in every case. Unconscious of monetary advantage, they kept on investing on avant-garde paraphernalia and knowledge.

Four years later, another clinic in Marilao, Bulacan was born. Located in a progressive area along McArthur Highway. They had a space good for two dental chairs. Little did they know the waiting room is always inhabited by loyal patients coming from as far as Baguio City, Laguna, Rizal, to Germany, London, Australia, U.S.A, Canada, Middle East, Japan, Indonesia and other parts of the globe. No advertisement paid for, no website at that time, Doctors Ocariza were delighted how “word of mouth” really spreads literally from the “mouth” of satisfied patients.

Then in the year 2008. With a lot of prayers and years of planning and daydreaming, The Dental Diagnostic Center was brought to life. With a more competitive practice and edgier equipment, Doctors Ocariza stood by their oath of Dental ethics. They strive to maintain friendship with their colleagues even how pushy referred patients might be for treatments. Doctors Ocariza managed these issues themselves for living by integrity, morality and modesty is their everyday motivation.

Bad Breath Treatment

Bad breath or Halitosis as it is medically known can be an embarrassing condition to contend with. It affects your rappo with colleagues or classmates.

There are plenty of causes of bad breath . The most effective way to prevent bad breath is by maintaining good oral hygiene by visiting us once every 3-6 months . However, it should be noted that there can be extra-oral sources of bad breath and these underlying causes must be dealt with for the successful treatment of Halitosis.

Braces

Braces - Doctors Ocariza Dental ClinicBraces - Doctors Ocariza Dental Clinic

Orthodontic Braces (Dental braces or simply braces) commonly employed to straighten crooked or misaligned teeth come under a branch of dentistry known asOrthodontics.

Braces are employed in many cases of malocclusion such as open bite, deep bite, cross bite and other structural and cosmetic flaws. Braces shape your teeth in the desired form by constantly exerting pressure on the teeth in question. Braces can also used along with other orthodontic appliances for successful treatment of Orthodontic problems.

₱60000 - ₱70000

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic Braces are not as apparent as the traditional ones and they tend to blend with the color of teeth and hence providing a more appealing alternative. They are susceptible to damage by accidental blows or trauma.

Child Braces

Clear Braces

Aesthetic clear braces resembling tooth color are marketed under the trade name Invisalign. They blend in with the teeth making them virtually invisible. Invisalign are a boon for patients who always needed braces but avoided them because of cosmetic reasons. They are removable enabling the wearer to snap them on and off when required.

However, Invisalign treatments tend to take longer, are costly and not preferred in complex orthodontic cases.

₱50000 - ₱60000

Metal Braces

These are the ones that come to our minds when we think of dental braces. The stainless steel color wire covering the full mouth with metal brackets soldered on to the steel wire. These are now outdated and not preferred by patients generally but still present an economical option for the interested.
₱2500 - ₱5000

Orthodontic Retainer

Retainers are worn by the patient after the completion of treatment by the Dental braces. These are used to “retain” the newly acquired position of the teeth so that they don’t revert back to their original positions.

Retainers are essential to orthodontic treatments. Many people tend to give them a miss only to realize later that their teeth have shifted back to their original positions wasting all the time, money and effort they put in over the years.

Dental Bonding

Tooth Filling/ Bonding (or a restoration) is a Dental Procedure you have to go through while undergoing treatment for Tooth Decay. It mainly involves removal of the decayed part of the tooth and filling the subsequent void with a Dental Filling material.

Tooth fillings are also used in cases of fractured or chipped teeth and even in some instances of worn teeth (resulting from tooth grinding and nail biting).

Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges - Doctors Ocariza Dental Clinic

Dental Bridge otherwise known as a Fixed Partial denture comes under a branch of dentistry known as Prosthodontics. The major function of the Dental Bridge is to fill the gap between teeth generated due to the missing of one or more teeth. Here, a bridge is created of two crowns for the teeth on each side of the gap and the gap itself is filled by a false tooth/teeth.

The two teeth on the either side of the false teeth play the anchoring role and are termed as abutment teeth. The false teeth are known as pontics in dental terms. These false teeth (Pontics) are made from the materials like alloys, gold, porcelain or with a combination of all the materials. The dental bridges can get the necessary support wi

Dental Sealant

Dental Sealant - Doctors Ocariza Dental Clinic

dental sealant is a kind of protective coating, which is made up of tinted or transparent plastic. It is painted onto the chewing areas of the back teeth (both premolars and molars), where the possibility of cavity formation is more in comparison to other regions of the teeth.

Premolars and molars have pits and fissures in them, where the food particles normally get stuck. Some of the fissures present on the surface are so deep that the bristles of the toothbrush are unable to reach them. These holes and gaps on the surface of the teeth provide an ideal environment for bacteria to thrive and generate cavities. The function of these dental sealants is to prevent the happening of the same. The dentists put a thin cover of dental sealant over these pits and fissures and food cannot accumulate in them.

The major application of sealants is on children’s teeth to prevent &nb

Dentures

Denture is a Prosthodontic device which replaces missing teeth in the oral cavity. There is no need for you to get a denture if you take good care of your teeth and prevent subsequent tooth loss. The Dentures are custom made for the patients who have partial or completely missing teeth and classifying them on that basis, they are of two types: Complete and Partial Dentures.

There have been admirable advances in the field of Prosthodontics enabling production of dentures that feel, function and appear nothing but natural. They have appealing aesthetics too and you can avoid any possible embarrassment with the help of these modern dentures.

This however does not imply that there are no issues with modern dentures. Although dentures replace teeth, there never has been a just replacement for natural teeth. It will take time for your mouth (and brain) to acclimatize to the new foreign substance in the mouth. Everyday actions such as talking and eating will require practice and can take some time to get the hang of. For some people it might become extremely difficult for the brain to accept the denture and they constantly get gag reflex. Such people might have to consider implant supported palateless denture or hypnosis therapy.

Fixed Partial Dentures

Fixed Partial dentures often referred as “Bridges” are cemented in the appropriate position. Bridges are preferred over removal partial dentures as they are comfortable and better resemble natural teeth but they require healthy teeth for their support and are expensive.

Flexible Partial Dentures

Flexible Partial Dentures - Doctors Ocariza Dental Clinic

Valplast® partials are custom-fabricated in a dental laboratory.  The preparation is relatively simple because your natural teeth dont need to be altered in any way. The Valplast® partial is virtually invisible because there are no telltale metal clasps, and the material itself blends with the tissue in your mouth so that the only thing that shows is your beautiful smile.

When considering a removable partial, many people find the Valplast® Flexible Partial to be the most comfortable option, and the final restoration can be made very quickly! While the cost may be higher than a partial made with visible metal clasps, the results of the flexible partial are beautiful, and patient satisfaction is very high. The Valplast® Flexible Partial involves only non-invasive procedures, and gives you confidence in your restoration while talking, eating and most importantly, smiling!

Full Dentures

Full Dentures - Doctors Ocariza Dental Clinic

These are dentures made to cover the entire arch and employed in patients who have lost all their teeth either in the maxillary arch or mandibular arch or even both. Complete Dentures in lower jaw are difficult to manage than the upper jaw as they tend to get displaced easily due to the absence of suction.

An overdenture is a slight modification of complete denture in which a few teeth remain which are shortened and the denture fits Over it (and hence the name Overdenture). An Overdenture has a few advantages like:

  1. The remaining natural teeth preserve the bone.
  2. The natural teeth also share some of the bite force during biting.
  3. The stability of the denture is improved.

But an OverDenture is expensive and demands regular maintainance to prevent decay and gum disease.

Removable Partial Dentures

As the name suggests, these are the partial dentures which can be removed and snapped back as and when desired. They consist of metal framework along with artificial teeth and metal clasps which hold the denture in position.

These procedures can also be used to reshape irregularly shaped and unattractive gums.

Root canals

Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is carried out to repair and restore a tooth which has been badly decayed or infected and comes under a branch of dentistry called asEndodontics. The RCT actually focuses towards elimination of any infection to the Pulp Chamber of the tooth.

Root Canal Treatment is the last option to save the tooth failing which the tooth has to be extracted. After the RCT the tooth is basically dead as the entire pulp inside the tooth is removed and filled with an inert material.
