I had an MRI and the results were excellent in identifying the issues that were already known, but were a picture of one year’s advancement of those issues. The entire staff was helpful, professional and exceptional in each of their areas of expertise. Dr. Mata did an exemplary job in the description of the results of the MRI & what made my time there even more comfortable, was that he caught me before I was on my way out and we had a chat about the issues identified, and under the circumstances, went beyond the call of duty to provide even more information that was relayed to the neurosurgeon in Beverly Hills. I had thyroid and pelvic ultrasound performed here. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. It was helpful that the doctor performing the ultrasound spoke English. During the ultrasound, he explained what he was seeing. I quickly received copies of the images while at the appointment. The clinic was easy to find, close to the border. There is a parking garage on-site. I will definitely be using their services again.

Ultrasound for gallbladder and the prostate diagnosis was well done.

Good doctors that have found problems and non-problems for a very low price. English speaking varies among the receptionist and doctors. I had a great experience the first time and poor one second time due to communications problems. Try to make an appointment with good English speaker if you are not fluent in Spanish.

MRI for cervical and lumbar areas of my back. Just 2 issues I want to point out so someone else in my position can learn from it. First, I asked where I would be picked up from at the border and I was told it was easy to find and I could walk to it. I was given the name of the hospital but had a hard time finding it. I would not recommend trying to walk there. I ended up getting a taxi and gave him the directions, and he had a hard time finding it. They do have someone that can pick you up at the border so insist on it. 2nd issue I had was when my cervical MRI was finished they told me and started doing the lumbar section. These scans take about 40 minutes each where you have to lay perfectly still the whole time. If you do not get out and stretch and compose yourself before the next one it can be hard to do, I know this is possible because I have done both these scans in Seattle twice before. Other than those 2 issues it was a good experience and super cheap compared to Seattle prices and I would go there again if needed, but I'll make sure to follow my own advice.

Very good, hope they see the review and make sure to take care of the 2 issues I had. Would have been 5 stars for what you get for your money!! Literally, almost 10 times the amount where I was getting them in Seattle. I have good insurance but I would have used up all my deductible with the two scans, now I have plenty left to put in my 401k plan!

Mammogram and blood work

Great, a bit confusing in the beginning, trying to book an appointment then was told it wasn't necessary, the whole procedure, mammogram with results took about 90 minutes.,so affordable. Took a bit longer to get my blood results emailed to me, but I did receive them. The whole process less than my co-pay in the US.

I chose to come here as I needed to get a reasonably priced MRI scan, as the prices in the US were too high. The clinic was exactly what I expected from a clinic in Tijuana.

I had no problems travelling to Tijuana, it was a very easy trip. The location is very convenient and close to the border.

The only complaint I have is that there was no one there on the day able to converse with me about my results, I only got given information about my xray after the fact via email, but this process isn't as good as an in person conversation. I'm awaiting a second opinion currently, but the doctor in Mexico has told me that I don't need an operation on my shoulder.

The charges for the procedure were about half of what I would have been charged in the US, so I am happy on that front.

I tried to find the place on my GPS but the street is actually "Calle Francisco Javier Mina" not just "javier mina". That should help you get there if you are using a GPS. It's not terribly far from the border.
A driver will pick up up and take you to the the place to get the MRI completed. I waited in the waiting room there for over an hour. When you enter the room they will ask you to go the bathroom and take off your clothes to change into a gown. You will sit in the MRI machine for 25 min. Afterward you can get back into your clothes and wait for the driver to come back and grab you and the MRI disc.
The doctor back at the clinic can give you your disc and images and email you your report unless you want to wait. the report is in spanish.
By the way if you go straight to the MRI spot they will charge you about $155 BUT you won't have that report from a doctor. All you will have are images that you can't even understand. So it's worth paying the $227 to get the MRI and the Report from this place.

It was a good experience and is my first medical tourism sort of experience. And I am not a convert. I want to handle all my medical in tijuana since I live in san diego. I just didn't like how long I had to wait at the MRI waiting room but the thing is they give you your MRI right there! If you were in the states it'll be very long time before you receive your discs and a report from the doctor. So I guess I dont have any real complaints.

I had an MRI of my cervical spine and this is the second MRI I've had done here. I'm trying to determine if the issues I'm having are from degeneration in my neck or more alignment problems. This clinic does a good job and everyone are very nice, but remember it is Mexico and everything is not "new and shiny" like in the states. There are several people that speak some English, and if you speak some Spanish it will be helpful but not necessary. You check in and pay at the office on Javier Mina and then a driver brings you to another office a few blocks away where you get the MRI. When your finished the same driver brings you and the disc of your MRI back to the first office where ther doctor will read and make the report right then. Total its 3-4 hours if you wait for the report, which I did the first time. Yesterday I asked if they could email me the report ( which is in Spanish) and they made films of my MRI and copied the disc in ten minute for me to take so it was only 2 hours. The report was in my email by the time I got home and now I will translate it. For $227, which is less than my copayment with Blue Cross and not having to wait more time to get approval it is a great deal. If if I do have degeneration I'm planning on getting [Treatment name removed] treatment from another doctor in Ensenada

I would definetly go back, I've been very happy with both of the MRI's I've had done there.

MRI back and knee, results within hours, clean, nice equipment, appt is done at seperate location.

Pricing is good and rhey translate to English your results. .

Only thing is they transfer you to a different location for the actual MRI, then they bring you back. Don't get scared, staff was very nice and facility was clean.

Had MRI w/ no contrast of my hip. I contacted Diagnostico Radiologico via email to find out cost for service, with and without contrast. I received a response within 24 hours. Then replayed with the times I were available the following week for Appointment. They responded within a few hours with a date and time I requested. Bottom line: 1. Fast and efficient response to email questions. 2. Very flexible in scheduling appointments. 3. All communication done in my native language (English).

Arrived 15 min early for 3:00 appointment. Suggest you Google address and print out in advance so you don't get hit with long distance roaming and data charge on your phone. Receptionist was polite with a little English. Enough to figure out why I was there. I filled out paperwork (Name and Age) and paid her cost quoted to me in pesos. 10 min later I was taken into MRI room and was given paper gown to wear. Into the tube for 30 minutes and I'm done. Radiologist stated that It will take about 30 min for evaluation report and CD to be completed. Came back and Dr. was ready and said that he wanted to do an x-ray of my hip (No extra charge). In 5 minutes I was in his office and he went thru everything and spoke great English. I had multiple problems that he fully explained and answered all questions. He gave me the x-rays, CD of MRI and written diagnosis (Spanish). The care and treatment I received was superior to ANY American facility I could have gone to.
