Specialist Skin Clinic - Cardiff

I had some cysts removed from my scalp. The clinic is spotless. The staff are professional and reassuring. My husband has since had treatment there more recently. We both highly recommend this clinic without hesitation.

When I first went to the skin clinic and met Dr. Gonzalez I had received filler by a reputable person but I wasn't happy with it. I'd been told that it was the lighting that made my eyes look heavy and in some lights very lumpy. I asked Dr. Gonzalez if she could fill below the filler under my eyes to try and smooth it out (which I had been told was not possible) and she did which made it look a bit better. Then after seeing her on numerous occasions, I felt really happy that she could see what I saw and after trying to correct what had been done previously we decided to dissolve the filler and start afresh with Ellanse a more permanent filler. From my previous experience with Hyaluronic Acid filler, I would normally have said "no" to a more permanent filler but Dr. Gonzalez gave me the confidence to go ahead as she could see exactly what I wanted.

Dissolving the previous filler was scary as although it didn't look great, seeing my face dissolve and sink was horrible but at every stage Dr. Gonzalez was there for me, agreeing to see me at the clinic anytime and via email to reassure me.

Once the filler was dissolved we started injecting Ellanse a little at a time over a long period of time until I got the desired effect. I'm thrilled at how I look now and although I'm 6 months off 50 I've been told I look late 30's early 40's and I feel great.

I'm so glad I found Dr. Gonzalez she is, in my opinion, one of the best in her field of work and in this industry it's hard to find the real professionals and particularly ones who make you feel comfortable and see what you see. Also what is so important is looking natural and also finding someone who will say "NO" if they think more will not look good.

I would recommend Ellanse to anyone losing their natural fullness in the face as aging doesn't have to be miserable. I keep my body in shape as I'm a fitness instructor and personal trainer but I have no control over volume loss in my face due to the natural aging process.

Laser freckle removal

I found the staff lovely and the treatment and results were excellent. I would highly recommend.

Communication was fast and informative. Staff at the clinic were very friendly. The dermatologist was very kind and I'm now going back to pick up a prescription for my acne. Very glad I went and would recommend this clinic to friends.

Dr Gonzalez was excellent. I will visit her in autumn for my treatment as recommended by her. I can't wait!

She was excellent. The whole place was relaxing and I could discuss my skin issues with her. Already recommended to my mum and will recommend to others too.

IPL and Laser

I recommend without hesitation. Maria and her team are simply sensational. Maria's expertise shows in everything that she does, and she and her team are so welcoming and friendly. My view of myself was that I looked pretty washed up when I arrived at the clinic. In my 20s and early 30s I'd been a sun worshipper and heavy smoker; this coupled with a few massively stressful years at work had really taken its toll on my face. The difference between how I looked at 35 and by 40 was astonishing. I used to be able to not wear make-up and still look nice...

Within a pretty short period of time, having been encouraged to change my skincare regime coupled with treatments from this clinic, I'm seeing really good results. Suddenly people are saying to me (with genuine surprise - after all, how many people start to look more fresh-faced with time?), "you look really good!". I'm still mid-treatment, but I'm really really happy with the results so far. I've tried cheaper alternatives before which did nothing. By contrast, I know that spending a little more by going to a professional has been worth the investment. It's an investment in me and what makes me feel confident.
