On arrival at Taylored Dental Care I was impressed with the awards and certificates displayed in the hallway BDA Good Practice and Denplan Excel (I had done my homework prior to my visit and both these awards are only given to the cleanist of Dental Surgeries).
When i nervously walked into the modern reception area I was warmly welcomed by the friendly receptionist who asked me to complete a thorough medical history questionaire. I have a latex allergy and this was picked up on straight away, the surgery staff were informed and latex free gloves and face masks were requested to be brought out of the stock room for my appointment.
I was seen on time by Dr. Taylor and his nurse. My first impressions were good, the surgery was clean, very clean and well laid out.
I had booked my appointment for a general check up, I had 2 routine radiographs taken and was amazed that these were popped into a machine and within 2 mins they were displayed on the surgery computer screen. Dr. Taylor discussed with me what he could see on the xrays which was just a few old fillings that needed no treatment. I asked Dr. Taylor if I could have these replaced with white fillings, I was told the advantages and disadvantages of white fillings and decided to leave them until they require replacing.
For a check up and 2 xrays i was charged £70. Overall my visit to Taylored Dental Care was excellent and good value for money.
I have pre booked my next appointment for December and have been signed up to receive free text reminders for my future appointments, a great idea for patients like me who dont have the best of memories.
