Olive Dental Care

After bad experiences at previous dentists I had not seen a dentist in several years. In December 2021 I visited Olive Dental Care after seeing positive reviews. I am very glad I did. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. I had an exam and X-ray with Doctor Koshy followed by a dental clean with the Hygienist. The Clean was done thoroughly and with great empathy. I was given good advise about dental care.

I then needed a Root Canal, Crown and a Wisdom tooth Extraction. The Root Canal and Crown was totally pain free and the Crown was made in house exactly matching my existing teeth. The Wisdom tooth Extraction also was pain free and done with such skill that I literally didn't notice it was done. I felt absolutely nothing. There was also no after pain. I can thoroughly recommend Olive Dental Care. Many thanks to Shebin, Teresa, Chloe and Saphire. I will now have no concerns about any future dental treatments needed.

This is an excellent clinic! I've been going here for the last few years. Everyone is kind, knowledgeable, and professional, and their equipment seems state of the art. The dentist and hygienist always explain exactly what they're doing and why pausing every so often to check whether I'm still comfortable.

At one recent visit, I had a very problematic tooth I had to make a decision about. I was presented with clear pros and cons of all the options. Years ago, at a different practice, I had a similar issue with another tooth, and that dentist used scare tactics and a lot of pressure to get me to choose the most expensive option without any time to think things over -- so I particularly appreciated that at Olive Dental, she presented the options calmly and professionally. I did end up going with the most thorough option, but I felt confident in my decision because I was given a lot of information and the time in which to make it.

I was nervous about going to the dentist during a pandemic, but once I got there, I was reassured by all the precautions the staff are taking. Also, the soothing travel scenes that go by on the ceiling monitor when you're tipped back in the chair are a nice way to pretend you're actually going on holiday. :)

Great service from the moment I walked through the door. Couldn't fault any part of my time here. Rang up to check I was fine after my operation and gave me the end result I didn't believe was possible. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Clean, safe premises with friendly helpful staff. I have been a client since they opened, and had various treatments. As a private practice, I believe their charges are in line with others in the area. Shebin is kind and very gentle, I have never felt under any pressure to have the treatment that I hadn’t instigated myself. Overall I am very happy with the service I have received over the years. Let’s face it, you never hear the words from anyone’s lips “I love going to the dentist” Well done Olive Dental.

I am more than pleased, and thank you both very much. As I have got older I have become increasingly nervous of the dental surgery, even though my dentist is kind and gentle. I felt ridiculous, and refused to have certain procedures as I was afraid I was going to get up and run or otherwise disgrace myself. After the initial appointment, when everything was explained to me, and excellent explanatory leaflets given, I happily attended my appointment today to have 9 extractions and an immediate denture inserted. My favourite music was played, and after the sedation, which I hardly noticed, it seemed only a few minutes before Dr Biju Philip was saying 'that's it, all done'. I couldn't believe it. I don't remember a thing, amazing. Dr Shebin Koshy gave me the offending teeth in a little wallet, and I walked through to the waiting room, and settled the bill.

Money very well spent, I feel. I have booked in for a Hygenist appointment ( something I have avoided like the plague) as I feel confident that I can expect the same understanding, and that I have no need to be frightened of discomfort or pain, or ridicule for being nervous. I know it's stupid, and I can think of no reason for these fears, but no more worries any more. It is now 7 hours since I left the Olive Clinic. I have felt no pain, and I have used the further pain killing medication suggested at my assessment and which I took along with me today. I enjoyed my lunch of smooth warm soup and an exceedingly decadent chocolate pud! My family say I do not sound like 'me' at the moment. Never mind. I need to get used to my mouth of new dentures! I'm very pleased with the way they look, just as I remember my teeth when I was younger and before everything started to go downhill ! All in all, a good experience.
