Veneers: Sometimes gum recession is very extensive and it is not possibe to treat it with a surgical procedure. The alternative is a gum veneer. This is usually made of silicone but can be made of acrylic. It can be removed for cleaning but otherwise is worn all the time and does not interfere with eating or speaking.
