Such a rude hygienist!
Were you pleased with the treatment?
OK if pricey practice. Dentist (Vinit) seemed professional and knowledgeable and was decent value for ~60 pounds -- would revisit. Unfortunately the practice wanted to charge ~600 pounds for a dental appliance that I needed which normally (privately, not on the NHS) costs around 150, so I passed on that (the appliance is a commodity product).
Hygienist (Alice Widen) was disappointing, and I would not recommend her to anyone. While she did clean most of my teeth, unfortunately she was unwilling to clean them all fully (there was still plaque left on my front teeth!), and, when I asked her for a little more attention on some of them, she replied that I should schedule another appointment with her! I tried to politely press her to take some more obvious bits of plaque off, but she argued back quite rudely that she would only do exactly 30 minutes of work for each patient, and since my teeth were so "bad", this was all she could do. Moreover, it transpired that she didn't have another patient to see, but felt it was more important to go home than to finish her job on my teeth (it was 2.30pm on a Saturday.) (Fair disclosure: I do have an orthodontic retainer on some of my teeth which makes them tougher to clean, though I have a hygiene every 3-6 months and this has never been a problem for any other hygienist I have seen.) I am going to see another hygienist to clean the rest of my teeth that Alice Widen didn't have time for, but I can imagine that my wife/mother/child would have reacted much worse to such a rude and unprofessional hygienist. In my opinion, if a medical service professional can not be bothered to put in an extra minute of free time to help her patient, she is probably in the wrong job.
Would you recommend the clinic?
Hygienist Alice Widen: no; Dentist: yes (weak)
Would you return for further treatment?
Hygienist Alice Widen: no; Dentist: maybe
