The worst I have ever been to ...
Were you pleased with the treatment?
This dentist is quite frankly the worst I have ever been to. The accommodation is grubby and basic the surgery appears to have been put together as cheaply as possible, the whole establishment feels second rate. I could live with that if the quality of the dentistry was good, but it's not, its appauling.
I was examined by a dentist who had no idea of my history; she thought I was a returning patient, when in fact it was my first (and last) time there. She hardly spoke to me and the examination of my teeth took less than 3mins. I think perhaps the lack of dialogue was because the dentist was from an eastern bloc country, she had a heavy accent and spoke in broken English, I have no issues with foreign workers but in my opinion, with dentistry you need to be able to communicate with your patients.
The tray the utensils for examining my teeth lay on was dirty and stained, although they rested on a sterile sheet it was unpleasant to see, also the handles on the examination light did not have disposable covers on, so I had no confidence that they were clean.
I had a broken rear tooth, one of the cusps on the inside of my mouth had broken off, the treatment I was offered was extraction nothing else, leaving me permanently with an unsightly gap whenever I smiled or laughed. I asked for a crown but was told it was not an option as the tooth was destroyed.
After my examination I was told to make an appointment to have the tooth pulled out. I walked out and booked into a local reputable dentist as a paying customer. My tooth can be saved and I am now in the process of having a crown fitted, which should have been offered to me as an NHS patient at this cowboy dentist.
Disgraceful service, if you just want your teeth pulled if they need any treatment then this is the place.
Would you recommend the clinic?
Would you return for further treatment?
