Woodside Crescent Dental Practice

Billy graduated from Glasgow in 1991 and has since held a
variety of positions in hospital and overseas voluntary sectors
in addition to general practice. He received a Fellowship in
Dental Surgery from the Royal College in Glasgow in 1995. His
clinical interests are in prevention and dental implants. He is
currently a Vocational Training Scheme Advisor with
responsibility for overseeing the training of first year graduate
dentists in general dental practice. He has previously held the
role of Dental Practice Advisor for Greater Glasgow & Clyde
Health Board, regularly inspecting other dental practices for
compliance with national standards.

One of the very few dentists to be granted a BDS with Honours,
Simon received his degree from Glasgow Dental School in
1997. He became a partner at the practice in September
2004 having previously been an associate with management
responsibility in a practice in Ayrshire. He has further
training in the field of intravenous sedation, regularly
teaches advanced restorative techniques to newly qualified
dentists and is involved in the development of a widely used
clinical & practice management computer system. In 2008 he
became accredited in the use of Clearstep invisible braces.

Paul graduated from Glasgow with BDS in 1997. After two
successful associateships in general practices he became a
partner in April 2005. His clinical interests include
endodontics and anything involved in saving teeth. Since
2006 he has been involved in training and mentoring of new
graduate dentists which he is currently undertaking in our
Johnstone practice. In 2008 he was trained and then
mentored in carrying out IV sedation, a service the practice
now offers.

Louise has been with the practice longer than any of the other
dentists, having graduated from Glasgow in 1988, and held a
previous associateship in Helensburgh. Her main clinical
interest is in the treatment of children and anxious patients.

Gareth joined the practice in 2007 after graduating with a
BDS from Glasgow University. After completing his
Vocational Training with us he became an associate in 2008.
His main interest is endodontics.
