Cosmetic Dental Surgeon, Facial Aesthetics Practitioner, Clinical Director of Antwerp House Group

Raj is a cosmetic dentist and dental implant surgeon. Qualified as dental practitioner from Guys and St. Thomas Dental School in 1993. After several years working in general practice, I decided to pursue advanced training in complex restoration, implantology and orthodontics. I completed a  masters program in Prosthodontics at the GKT institute, London followed by a masters degree in Implantology from Warwick University. I am currently following a masters degree in Orthodontics from the same University.

He  performs non-invasive surgical treatments to enhance facial appearance. This includes wrinkle smoothing treatments such as the use of dermal fillers and botox. He has a burgeoning interest in  technology based treatments such as radiofrequency, IPL and lasers to enhance facial appearance. Raj set up Market Hill Dental Clinic and Royston Aesthetics as two allied businesses under one roof. His aim is to create a technology clinic which specialises in treatments to reduce age related and acquired/congenital facial blemishes to promote youthful appearance. He works in conjunction with a laser practitioner and a beautician. Market Hill Dental Practice and Royston Aesthetics are part of the Antwerp House Group of clinics which have been set up and developed by Raj over the last 10 year

Dr. Gkranias received his Diploma of Dental Surgeon in 2000 from the University of Athens, Greece. From 2000 until September 2003 he worked as a general dentist in private practices and a dental hospital in Athens Greece. In 2003 he was accepted in the 3-year Periodontology course in the world-renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London. The Eastman MClinDent(Periodontology) program is one of the 11 european periodontology programs, and the only one in UK, that is accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). In September 2006 Dr. Gkranias graduated from the program and passed his MClinDent examination and EFP accreditation with distinction.

During his last year of the program and thereafter Dr. Gkranias has been working in private dental practices in the major London area offering periodontal treatment. He is currently sharing his time between private practice and the UCL Eastman Dental Institute where he is taking part in clinical dental research and will be working towards a PhD degree at the Department of Periodontology.

Samantha graduated with distinction from Kings College London in 1998 and spent the following year working within the Maxillofacial Department. She developed her surgical skills and interest in surgical dentistry over the year.

She has since worked for over seven years in family orientated practices in London and Bedfordshire with a particular interest in de-sensitising nervous patients and surgical dentistry. During this time she gained experience with sedation and dental implants which led her to undertake training in implant dentistry. She gained a Masters with distinction at the Eastman Dental Hospital treating patients ranging from simple one-tooth replacement to full mouth implant reconstruction.

Having qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1997, Shashi joined the Army and served for over 11 years in the Royal Army Dental Corps after general practice and oral and maxillo-facial surgery appointments in and around Manchester.  In his time in the Army, Shashi completed postgraduate training with distinction in endodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute, London.  On completion of this training, Shashi was responsible for the providing the referral endodontic service for the Navy, Army and Air Force in addition to the teaching of endodontics to Dental Officers of all levels of experience, both serving and civilian, working within the Defence Dental Services.

With a broad background in restorative dentistry, Shashi has a passion for providing the very best for his patients by working within a multi-disciplinary team. 

Dr. Nela Basso qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1993 from the University of Bialystok, Poland. She has many years of experience in the dentistry field, prior to qualifying as a dentist Nela was working as a qualified dental technician for 10 years in Poland. Since becoming a Dental Surgeon in 1993 Nela has undergone further study to become a specialist orthodontist and has since worked as a teacher of orthodontics and prosthetic procedures.

Nela has been practicing in the orthodontic field since 1993 and obtained the specialist title in Orthodontics in 2002, from Poland. Nela has worked in the UK since 2006.

Andre qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa 1983. He spent 2 years doing his National Service, mostly as a dentist/assistant surgeon. He was fortunate to see a lot of Maxillofacial surgery at Baragwanath Hospital where Andre had been seconded to the department at the university.
