Paddy is originally from Northern Ireland, and qualified in dentistry at Manchester in 1990.  He joined the Royal Navy and was commissioned Surgeon Lieutenant (D).  This brought him to the West Country, where he made use of the extensive postgraduate opportunities available to him through the Navy.  Paddy has a wealth of experience and training in advanced reconstruction and dental implants. Paddy became a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practice Royal College of Surgeons of England MFGDP(UK) RCS Eng  by examination and also became one of the first dentists in the country to pass the exam to become a member of the Joint Dental Faculties Royal College of Surgeons England MJDF RCS Eng. Paddy also became one of only 6 dentists in the country to pass the inaugral Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh D.Imp.Dent RCSEd- the gold standard in Implant training. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Implantology FICOI and a member or the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry AACD.

In 2012 Paddy achieved the Fellowship diploma (FFGDP (UK)) of the Faculty of General Dental Practice, Royal College of Surgeons England. The Fellowship is the highest qualification that the Faculty can award.

Ann qualified from Manchester in 1992.  She set up Abbey Mead Practice from scratch, when the building was just a shell - it is now one of the most sophisticated and high tech practices in the West Country.  The practice was one of the first in the region to achieve Investors in People accreditation in 2002, and one of the first in the UK to achieve the British Dental Associations Good Practice accreditation, also in 2002, Both awards have been maintained ever since.

Ann has a reputation for treating nervous patients and children, and enjoys cosmetic dentistry. She has extensive experience and training in all these areas.
