Dental full veneers and laminate veneers are both types of dental veneers that can be used to improve the appearance of teeth. However, they differ in several key ways. Full veneers, also known as full porcelain crowns, are made of high-quality, durable materials such as porcelain or zirconia, and cover the entire visible portion of the tooth, including the back and sides. They are typically used to address more severe cosmetic and functional issues than traditional veneers, and require significant tooth preparation to be placed. Laminate veneers, also known as porcelain veneers or dental laminates, are thinner than full veneers and only cover the front surface of the tooth. They are made of the same high-quality materials as full veneers, but require less tooth preparation to be placed.

CAD/CAM technology is used to help the dental team fabricate precise shapes and sizes for dental restorations including inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges. This technology provides patients with durable, esthetic, well-fitted single and multiple tooth restorations in a more efficient manner. The first step in using CAD/CAM technology is tooth preparation. Next, a digital impression is taken that sends the prepared tooth’s exact dimensions into a computer. Afterwards, the computer software creates a virtual restoration replacement part for the missing areas of the tooth. The software then sends the virtual restoration data to the milling machine, where the replacement part is carved out of a solid block of ceramic or composite resin. The restoration is adjusted in the patient’s mouth and cemented or bonded in place.

The implant is not a fearsome and difficult treatment, as sometimes exaggerated by patients who have had a bad experience. In fact, it is even easier than a simple tooth extraction. The implantation procedure takes 6 minutes. The same anesthesia used during dental filling is administered to the patient, and it is the completely painless procedure. It is easier compared to tooth extraction.  The success of the implant is directly proportional to the quality of the bone. With the developing technology, it is now possible to place implants even in the presence of inadequacy in the bone, by using a bone graft. With volumetric tomography, successful implantation  can be achieved in many cases where bone structure is challenging. Depending on the bone condition, the superstructure can be completed one or more weeks after placing the implant, and the tooth becomes usable again.  If there is a gap after tooth extraction, it is recommended that the implant closes this gap as soon as possible. Because following tooth extraction, the bone in the area begins to dissolve slowly, and this can result in a large depression in the bone. However, the placement of the implant stops this destruction and ensures a healthy bone. Applying the implant treatment soon after tooth extraction will enhance the quality of the treatment and reduces its cost.  The implant can be applied to anyone except those receiving radiotherapy, or with the specific bone disease. The implant can be applied to the diabetic patient regardless of their blood glucose, after testing for HbA1c, and to cardiac patients following antibiotic prophylaxis. The implant can be conveniently applied to young adults who have completed their oral and mandibular development, or to elderly people with proper bone quality.
