I initially chose Ezgi's Smile House for teeth whitening and for the fitting of braces at a competitive price. I had come for my treatment from England and engaged in correspondence prior to my visit and appointment.
After a comprehensive consultation, I had a cleaning procedure, teeth whitening, and the fitting of braces to my lower jaw. I was advised that I should have the upper jaw braces as well but I was unsure so did not go ahead with that part at that time.
I had braces fitted to deal with four obviously crooked front bottom teeth.
I have to say it was more like craftsmanship than what I expected, the dentist and her support staff were friendly, reassuring and spoke very good English.
Once the bracing was in there was no expected pain just a dull throb with slight pain when inadvertently trying to bite down with my front teeth.
With this added confidence in the dentist's work and less pain than expected, I decided to inquire about having the upper jaw fitted with braces as I still had some time left in Antalya, I was fortunate that they could fit me in on this additional day and so had that added procedure done, hopefully leading to a complete smile in due course (18 months expected timeline)
The only problem I faced was in locating the clinic, I had a hotel not far away, with a taxi ride that delivered me to the front of the business plaza but I did wander around a bit and ended up at another clinic with a similar name on the opposite side of the buildings. (Tip- to anyone visiting, with the plaza in front of you, go to the right of the buildings, down the slope where the gym is and the entrance giving access to the upper floors is on the left, clinic on 1st floor)
I am hoping to return at regular intervals for adjustments to the braces and have to say although not exactly dreading the experience beforehand it was a much more pleasant experience than I had envisioned, helped by the friendliness and expertise of the staff.
The braces do feel strange and may take a while to adapt to them. I was also advised on things like what I shouldn't eat, choosing the correct brush and mouth hygiene, etc going forward.
All in all a positive experience and worth it for a better smile in the future with a better jawline.
