Were you pleased with the treatment?

I was extremely pleased with the cosmetic treatment I received at Dentunali which consisted of a bridge, veneer replacement, and whitening. The cost was significantly less that in the UK where I would have had it done and the standard of care far surpassed that of dentists I have visited in the past, both at home and abroad.

Would you recommend the clinic?

I would definitely recommend Dentunali to anyone seeking dental treatment in Turkey, particularly foriegners looking for an English-speaking dentist. The level of English spoken here was much higher than I had anticipated and I felt completely at ease with our communication.

Would you return for further treatment?

Everyone at Dentunali did heir best to make my appointments as comfortable as possible, so I would certainly return for further treatment as I trust their standard of care. We spent a lot of time discussing my options during my initial consultation and throughout the treatment so I really feel that they know my needs as a patient now.

Endodontist Consultation

Endodontics, from the Greek endo (inside) and odons (tooth), is a specialist sub-field of dentistry that deals with the tooth pulp and the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. The pulp (containing nerves, arterioles and venules as well as lymphatic tissue and fibrous tissue) can become diseased or injured, and is often unable to repair itself; if it dies, endodontic treatment is required. The most common procedure done in endodontics is root-canal therapy. In endodontics, advanced technology, such as operating microscopes, ultrasonics and digital imaging are used to perform these special services. It is important to note that most general dentists are trained to address a variety of patients' endodontic needs, and thus most root canals are performed by general dentists. Other procedures practiced in endodontics include incision for drainage, internal tooth bleaching to fix teeth that have blackened because of infiltration of decayed soft tissue into the dentin in the teeth - most often seen in incisors that have been injured through a sudden impact, and periradicular surgery (apicoectomy); the more radical treatments generally are needed in cases of abscesses, root fractures, and problematic tooth anatomy, but may be indicated in treating teeth that have persistent root end pathosis following root canal treatment.

In many areas of the world it is separate from Oral and Maxillofacial surgery (OMS, OMFS, or "Maxfacs"), which is a unique specialty usually requiring both medical and dental qualifications.

Orthodontist Consultation

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic treatment can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal with the control and modification of facial growth. In the latter case it is better defined as "dentofacial orthopedics". Orthodontic treatment can be carried out for purely esthetic reasons—improving the general appearance of patients' teeth and face for cosmetic reasons—but treatment is often prescribed for practical reasons, providing the patient with a functionally improved bite (occlusion).
