Dr Hussain, MBBS DRCOG MRCGP, Medcare’s founding GP, trained and qualified as a doctor at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, London, in the mid-1990s. She then went on to train as a GP in Reading. Her further qualifications include the Diploma of the Royal College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr Esbry, MD, ASPRS, is registered with the UK General Medical Council and has more than 20 years experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His qualifications are first rate and he has hundreds of satisfied patients. Dr Esbry’s wealth of experience covers everything from working as the plastic surgeon for the Argentinean navy to being the founder plastic surgeon and Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns at the Chaco Clinic, Argentina. He has also worked in the US.

Dr Vilchez trained in Badajoz , Extremadura and in La Paz Hospital in Madrid. Further training was completed at the Careggi Hospital, Florence. He worked in the Spanish Health System in Elda, Aspe, and all around the Vega Baja region before joining Medcare as a GP. Dr Vilchez also worked for a year as a medical examiner in the Coroner’s Office.

Tim graduated from Leeds University in 1978 and has worked in the UK as a dentist in both the NHS and private practice. He owned and operated a dental practice in Blackburn for 25 years until 2010. With 33 years overall experience in dentistry, Tim brings our patients a wealth and depth of experience in all aspects of dental treatment. Having treated many thousands of patients, there is very little in dentistry Tim has not seen and dealt with, and having him as part of the Medcare team allows us to offer our British patients quality dental care with no language barrier. Tim remains registered with the UK General Dental Council and is also fully registered with the Alicante Dental College.

For Rocio, dentistry is in her blood; with the profession going back three generations it is practically a family business. Rocio graduated from university in 2006 and is registered with the dental college in Murcia. She is very popular with our patients who love her gentle mannerisms and the fact that she always takes time out to explain treatment plans and follows ups with sound aftercare advice every time.

Osteopath and physiotherapist Marcos Morote qualified as a physiotherapist at Valencia University and later took post-graduate courses in osteopathy at universities in Barcelona. He also has professional qualifications from institutions throughout Europe, including St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He has been practising for almost 15 years. Marcos uses osteopathy and physiotherapy to treat a range of painful conditions, including back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, whiplash, repetitive strain injury and migraines. Marcos was born in Canada.

Psychologist and psychotherapist Steve Ashley has been with Medcare since we opened in 2005. He is a graduate psychologist with a post-graduate qualification in psychotherapy, holding registrations with the London-based UK Council for Psychotherapists, the European Association of Psychotherapy in Vienna, the Ministry of Science and Innovation in Madrid and the Official College of Psychotherapists in Valencia. Steve holds weekly surgeries in the Medcare clinics. He deals with problems such as depression, child sexual and physical abuse, addictions, bereavement and rape. Steve was instrumental in setting up the Samaritans for English speakers in Spain.

Chiropodist Sanne Wolff trained as a nurse in her native Holland, working first in a hospital and later in a home for the elderly. She qualified as a chiropodist in Amsterdam and underwent specialist training in diabetic foot care, foot reflexology and aromatherapy. Sanne had her own practice in Zaandam before moving to Spain in 2002, where she has continued to work as a chiropodist. Sanne joined Medcare in 2010.
