Dr Yue Weng Cheu is the Clinical Director of DP Dental PL. The focus of his dental team is to provide comprehensive family care, emphasizing on patients comfort as well as high standard in delivery of advanced dental care and services.

Dr Yue has received training in multiple disciplines, both locally and overseas, so as to provide wide-ranging and integrated treatment for patients under his care.
He has been practising Advanced Adhesive Dentistry since 2005 after his training in USA. His minimally invasive approach leads to more conservative treatment using more porcelain inlays and onlays rather than crowns.
Since 2010, he has been under the tutelage of Dr Clayton Chan from Occlusion Connections, Nevada, USA, to understand the proper management of masticatory systems and its interaction with the rest of the body. The intricate links between the bite and the body are put forth in the total management of all his patient with due consideration to the teeth, joints and muscles interactions. Applications of TENS devices with jaw tracking computer help patients resolve pain issues with the use of orthotics or conservative rehabilitative treatment.
With the integration of CAD-CAM technology in 2008, he has been providing high quality porcelain restorations or crowns in one visit using CEREC 3D system. Dr Yue is one of the few accredited trainers of this advanced system in Singapore. With the latest acquisition in 2012, DP Dental is equipped with the most updated CEREC AC and MCXL unit.
His interest in implant dentistry began in 2001 with a trip to Germany, birth-place of many leading implant systems in the world. Many more learning trips followed, bringing him to Germany, France and Taiwan for sharing sessions at chairside and lectures with experienced practitioners.
He has also lectured on LASER Dentistry and ran courses on Clinical Dental Photography with Dr Jon Ryder, a dentist and NatGeo photographer. The proceeds were donated to the Imagine Foundation for the care of orphans in Cambodia.
Being the member of the Executive Committee of College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore, he is active in organising both clinical and practice management courses for the fraternity. He is active on the lecture circuit, presenting locally and regionally on Integrating Advanced Technology into General Practices, covering Laser Dentistry, CAD-CAM and 3D Implant Surgical Planning. His most recent lecture was at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
He read for his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from 1995 to 1999. He was elected Class Representative and was on the Deans List in his first year of studies. He was elected President of the NUS Dental Society and Dental Club in his third year. In the same year, he won the Pierre Fauchard Academy Foundation Scholarship Award and was on a student exchange programme to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California, USA.
Dr Yue is blissfully married to Louisa and has two adorable boys, Sean and Shea.
