Before making the journey for the dental treatment, we suggest you follow these four steps

1. Dental treatment plan and costs of the journey.

Contact us for a free dental exam. In order to offer you a fair treatment plan, we need a recent panoramic X-ray and/or some teeth images. As soon as we receive your request, our specialists will send you a dental treatment plan with an estimate price offer and a detailed cost of the stay in our town. If you decide to have the dental treatment with our clinic, we will send you a proforma invoice including all details of the dental treatment. Your agreement does not require any advance payment. Please keep in mind that there could be additional costs in case you need supplementary detailed dental treatment

2. Travel and accommodation plan

 Airplane companies with direct flight to Bucharest: British Airways; Tarom; WizzAir; BlueAir.

Booking the plane ticket: please do not hesitate to contact us for flight reservations. We will recommend the best plane tickets from your country to Bucharest. After booking the plane ticket, please let us know the date and time when you arrive to Bucharest airport.

Arrival in Bucharest: -The travel coordinator and the driver will meet you and then there is the transport from airport to the hotel.(distance 120km made in 1h and 20min). The airport-hotel transport cost (return cost) is taken over by us. When arriving, you will be given a local mobile telephone in order to keep in touch with the travel coordinator 24 hours a day.

3. Dental treatment and free time planning

We will plan your first visit to our clinic together. Then there is the performance of the dental treatment. The payment is made in two steps – half of the treatment cost at the beginning and the rest at the end. During the last treatment day, the travel assistant will draw up the invoice and the necessary documents for deducting the treatment in case you have a health insurance. The payment is to be made in cash or by credit card.

Free time planning. Our assistant will take care of your stay. We will set up one-day or several-day trips, we will inform you about the tourism attractions in Romania that you should not miss; we recommend you the best Romanian traditional food products; we give you advice regarding souvenirs.

4.Homecoming.

The driver will transport you to the airport. The travel coordinator will accompany you and he/she will take care of your departure from Romania.

Dental Bridges

The dental bridge is a therapeutic procedure replacing one or more missing teeth by means of a prosthetic work which is anchored to the remaining teeth by some dental crowns. A classic dental bridge is made up of the “fake” tooth or teeth replacing the missing teeth and two or more dental crowns serving to anchor the bridge to the teeth neighbouring the missing teeth. When more teeth miss, we can have an insertion of some implants serving as support for a dental bridge. The bridges are generally made of ceramic; ceramic on support of noble or semi-noble metals; ceramic burnt on zirconium. Dental bridges improve mastication and reduce the possibility of migration of the neighbouring teeth in the lacking space.

The cover dental crown sometimes known as a “lid” is an artificial restoration circling and covering a natural tooth or an implant on the visible part, i.e. over the gum brim. The material used in our clinic is dental ceramic, also known as porcelain. The ceramic can have as support a metal skeleton (classical option) or zirconium oxide (modern option). A dental crown is used for more cases, for example: if you have yellow fillings and you want to improve it; if the dental destruction is bigger, you need a crown to protect it; it can help to support a bridge or a prosthesis.

Dental Implants

The dental implant is one of the great medical breakthroughs of dental medicine bringing revolutionary solutions and hopes to edentate patients (with missing teeth), in some cases practically changing people’s lives.

The dental implant is a titanium part especially treated to integrate into the human bone, mostly having the shape of a screw used to replace the root of a missing natural tooth. The implant is inserted into the maxillary or the mandibular bone through a simple and painless surgical procedure in a very short time. This surgery takes place under local anaesthesia. There is then a three to six-month period necessary to integrate the implant into the alveolar bone (osseointegration). After such period of time, the related prosthetic blunt will be attached to the dental implant, part of it entering the sub-gingival area and a prosthetic crown will be cemented on the blunt. Dental implants can - replace one or more teeth; be support for a prosthetic work in order to eliminate a total prosthesis; be support for total dental prostheses. In order to apply the dental implants, the Dental Travel Clinic team uses a special technology: the optic fibre physiodispenser. Treatment duration – in order to complete the treatment, you need two visits to Romania. The first visit – insertion of the implant estimated to one or two days. The second visit – after a three to six-month period necessary for the implant to integrate. After such period, there is the second visit to complete the treatment, estimated to six or seven days.

Dentures

A dental prosthesis is a device worn to replace the missing or lost teeth and allows you to enjoy a healthy alimentation and a perfect smile. Total prostheses replace the teeth totally and the partial ones fill the spaces created by lost teeth and it is attached to natural teeth with metal clips or kooks. The basis of prosthesis is called plate and it is made of acrylic resins or a combination of them with different metals. Teeth are commonly made of plastic and can be created to match natural teeth.

Skeletal prostheses are indicated if there is a number of teeth al the arcades level. They are made of a fixed part and a movable one. The fixed part is applied on the existing teeth containing some special clamping elements for the movable part. The patient has a bigger comfort in case of skeletal prostheses.
The prostheses applied on implants – in case patients want a fixed or a movable work and there is no tooth left, we can uses implant surgery to introduce a number of 3-4 implants on which we apply some special systems achieving a perfectly adapted prosthesis. The comfort felt is the same or better than the case of a skeletal prosthesis.

Root canals

Endodontics is the dental specialty dealing with the treatment of pulp diseases and of radicular canal. When the depth of the dental caries affects the health of the nerve, we turn to endodontics. The new electronic localization techniques for apex (top of root) by means of the apex – locator, as well as the rotating techniques to prepare the canals with the Profile and Protaper systems and the “Diga” modern insulation system makes the procedure a lot easier nowadays  and turns it into a complete and safe treatment. The use of such systems having extremely flexible needles gives solutions to curved canal teeth, which was very difficult to achieve using classical systems. The canal obturation is made by condensation and injection of gutta percha into the radicular canal, thus achieving a tridimensional sealing. After the achieving the canal obturation, we recommend that the endodontically treated teeth be covered with crowns to prevent their breaking.
