IMPLANTIS Dental Clinic

22 307 18 73 ext: 61130 Daszyńskiego 12 / u5, Kraków, 31534
Rating from 18 Reviews Absolutely fantastic!Anonymous, Banbury, 06 Mar 17

I have discovered, late in life (I'm a 50 -something!) that I suffer from Bruxism ( grinding teeth of clenching teeth in my sleep). Over a number of years I have broken a number of molars, some irretrievably. i.e. nothing left to put a crown on. So I investigated implants in the UK ( I already have 3 implants so fully familiar with the procedure) but the cost in the UK is prohibitive. We researched Hungary, Poland and Spain as centres of excellent dentistry and specialists who do this work, but much cheaper than UK. We settled on Poland and I compared two Implant specialists in Krakow. Actually, it was diffiuclt to make the choice, but I went to Implantis since they answered all my questions very thoroughly ( you should research a check list of questions to ask before you commit) and they also used the Straumann Implant system, which I discussed with my dentist in the UK, and we felt this was a superior system and more universally known - so if I have problems in future, and I am not able to return to Poland, another dentist would probably recognise this. I discussed the options and the treatment with my dentist in the UK who was very supportive. Other important factors for choosing Implantis include English speaking dentists, qualifications and experience, excellent customer service/front desk, and of course, cost. I believe that some of the dentists at Implantis work in the University teaching dentistry which gave me more confidence that you are dealing with professionals not a cowboy outfit. It is very important to ascertain the professionalism and experience of the dentists at the outset since one needs to have confidence in the dentist before taking the plunge. It is after all a big step. Also I was keen to understand, that in the worst case scenario, and if some of the treatment did not go as planned, what back up would be available in an emergency situation. Implantis answered all these questions to my satisfaction before I arrived. Absolutely fantastic. I have been hugely impressed with all Implantis staff and dentists from the outset. The surgery is clean and hygienic. Observation of hygienic practice is outstanding at Implantis, along with excellent use of modern technology. On arrival, and following CT scans, I discussed the options in terms of treatment plans with the Senior Dentist Tomasz Bobek. We discussed the minimum work required to replace only very badly damaged teeth but we also discussed more extensive work to improve my entire dental situation. I was given time to consider these options. Everything was explained using images from the CT scan and a clear treatment plan was produced, with costs. In the end I chose pretty much a complete 'overhaul', which included 5 extractions and implants, with associated crowns, 2 further crowns, 4 inlays/onlays, a number of fillings, root canal treatment on one tooth and two posts inserted ( for one of the above crowns). The treatment also included a session with the very thorough dental hygienist and I was provided with a mouthguard at the end of treatment to ensure i don't damage my teeth again from grinding/clenching. They also took out some old amalgam fillings and replaced with white composite. Overall the treatment has taken 5 trips; The first trip was for three days ( dental hyigienist, extractions, root canal treament), the next trip (one month later) for two days ( insertion of implants, fillings), 5 months later (once the implants had set in the bone) 2 more trips of 1 day (healing rings) ( prepration of teeth for crowns etc) and finally treatment over 3 days (impressions, final placement of all the crowns, mouthguard), either side of a weekend (My wiofe came with me and we enjoyed the sites and restaurants of Krakow and surrounding area - a really great place to visit!). The treatment itself has felt very long, with many long sessions in the chair. Sometimes I wasn't expecting such long sessions, which can be tiring, spending many hours with your mouth wide open. (It was also more difficult because alot of the work I had done was at the back of the mouth). But the team that worked on me ( different dentists for different tasks) were always professional and went to great lengths to try to minimise the pain. There can be no denying that some of the treatment I underwent was painful! but this is part and parcel of the treatment, you have to accept this. But they did their best to make me comfortable and usually, once out of the chair, pain could be managed through painkillers and was short lived. In conclusion, and with hindsight, I think it would have been better to have attempted fewer implants in one go. 5 extractions and replacement implants, along side the other work which I had done, is quite traumatic and also you get left with a lot of gaps for say 5 months while you wait for the next stage. So I think if I were to do it again, I might be more patient and do the treatment over 18 months/2 years. BUT - the end result is a full set of teeth which look highly realistic and feel very strong - I can chew and smile again with confidence! They have adjusted the bite, everything is working very well. I am extremely pleased. Overall, I would give the dentists and staff at Implantis full marks for their professionalism, hygiene, pleasant 'chairside' manner, helpfulness, ability to explain in English, well equipped and good use of technology etc. I can strongly recommend Implantis to anyone considering implants or extensive dental repair work. In terms of cost, the above treatment cost less than £9000. Plus hotels and travel, so say about £10,000. If you can get world class treatment of this calibre for less, I would be surprised.

Dental implants, bridges and root canal treatment. Absolutely fantastic. Everything was explained beforehand and the treatment went ahead with no problem whatsoever. I also have to say that I was totally impressed by the professionalism of the surgeon and also all the staff at the clinic. I would have no hesitation in recommending treatment at this clinic - everyone was kind, welcoming and so helpful. I am going back again in October for further treatment following implants and am looking forward to completing the treatment., Thank you all again for your professionalism and kindness. Better than any dentist I have attended in the UK.

Rating from 4 Reviews One of the best decisions I have ever madeElen, Poland, 05 May 16

I had 4 implants. The treatment was fast and almost painless. My dentist introduced me my personal treatment plan and answered all of my questions in English. All of the staff was very helpful. The city is amazing, after my treatment I went to Zakopane it is a small city at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. To go to Krakow for dental treatment was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Modern equipment, experienced doctor, helpful staff, low prices!

Rating from 1 Review My teeth are even whiter than I expectedJan, Poland, 02 Jan 17

I decided to get my teeth whitened at Dr Tomaszewska's clinic - best choice I could have made. Dr Tomaszewska was very polite and well-mannered, very knowledgeable, and explained me everything in an easy to understand way. The treatment was a great success - my teeth are even whiter than I expected. Great value for money - I will definitely recommend Dr Tomaszewska to anyone who wants to get their teeth whitened in a professional manner! Great clinic - looks very elegant inside, it is easy to schedule an appointment, the staff speaks English very well and is helpful - generally everything to make your dental experience as easy as possible. They even recommended some extra sightseeing in Krakow (that was not described on Lonely Planet! and definitely worth seeing) - great addition to the treatment I had.

The consultation went very well.

I would highly recommendAggy, UK, 31 Jan 15

A really good dental practice with a very competent dentist. Not only did they manage to fit me in at the last minute but I also received my full dental examination and x-ray free of charge! My filling procedure carried out by Dr Marek Wozniacki was painless and fast. I felt totally relaxed during the treatment. I ended up paying £40 in total for a procedure that would've cost me nearly £150 back in the UK (incl. exam). The staff at 3G DENTIST are very polite, helpful, friendly and fun which makes visiting the dentist extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend 3G DENTIST to all my friends and family. I personally can't wait to go back there and get more work done!

Albusdent Centrum Stomatologiczne

Rating from 2 Reviews I can say from experience about it being less pain!James, London, 09 Mar 15

Root Canals, Crown Lengthening, Ceramic Veneers, Composite Onlay, Removal the tooth, Crown Implantation & Bone Augmentation, Medium/Large fillings and more ew I live in Central London and I have been to a few of the top Dentists from Harley Street to Chelsea over the years, till now! Never again will I be going back to any London dental centers! The service I received at Albusdent Dental Centre in Krakow has been the best I have ever seen and experienced. The care and professionalism is 100%. What comes first is the results they give, and I can assure you that the work I have had done is amazing! Not to mention the price compared to England. As soon as you arrive you are looked after, they get to the “root” of your problems and together they set out a plan, in my case, it was to spend 5 days on the top part of my teeth and then have a week off and then come back for another 5 days to do the bottom section of my teeth. My first impression of the Dental Centre was extremely pleasing, all the equipment was very modern, sterile and looked more than up to date than the UK! There was a lovely girl called Magda who coordinated my dentistry plan with myself and my new dentist explaining which days I needed to come in, and the time each procedure was expected to take, she also explained the price structure, and made sure that any other requirements or concerns I had were taken care of. Initially I had some worry that maybe they don’t understand English, that was not a problem, their English was very good and my mind was instantly put at ease. My Dentist (Dr Natalia) was my appointed dentist who carry out all of the work I had during my stay at the Albusdent centre. I cannot thank her enough for her work. She made me feel very relaxed at all times, and explained everything so thoroughly that I always felt confident and all my questions were answered. So over the next few weeks I spent around 10 days with Dr Natalia. Now lets be honest, you would think that having serious dental work is not fun nor is it painless! Well I’m telling you, if I didn’t have Dr Natalia as my dentist, I know it would of been a LOT HARDER for me! So For all the work I have had done over that 10 days it was such a pleasure to have Dr Natalia. When it comes to Dr Natalia’s work, for example, my upper 2 crowns was so bad (basically broken inside) it looked like dental implantation was the main option, now most dentist’s would just go with that option, because it's all about the money! But is there a solution? If you can avoid taking out your teeth you should. Dr Natalia found that by doing a root canal treatment on my 2 crowns and keeping each side of the crown and taking away all the decay & bacteria & everything else in the middle, leaving just the shell of the crowns. Now Dr Natalia had the option to do large fillings inside the crowns and to have a composite onlay to go on top. A lot cheaper and a lot less pain than having implantation! I did on the other side have one crown implantation, and there was nothing that could be done to save that crown at the back, it really was severely damaged! So I can say from experience about it being less pain! Now they look amazing, the 2 composite onlay crowns along with the ceramic veneers, fillings etc etc thanks to Dr Natalia, my teeth look the best they have ever looked. I also must give a special mention to Dr. Kotowski for the treatment I received from him, which include the implant and removal of my Crown. How can anyone forget this sort of treatment would be crazy!! Dr Kotowski did a really good job. I didn’t feel a thing when having the removal or the implant, thank god! You only start to feel pain a couple of days after. But this is normal for anyone who takes this sort treatment. Nothing painkillers cannot help you with, in the end, its worth it! So to round this review up, I saved money and I got everything done in a good time span, with a Dentist that is devoted and dedicated and extremely professional. And I also had enjoyed my time in Krakow city. Its a 5/5 for the dental centre, and 5/5 for its staff and if you're as lucky as I was to have Magada look after you as well as Dr Natalia then you're in the best of hands. And for me to do a review means something as i don't ever do reviews!
