Let me start out by saying that I have a long history of being terrified by the dentist. As a result my teeth were a mess. Several of my teeth were missing and the remaining teeth were basically falling apart. My teeth were an embarrassment. I didn't smile any more. If anyone needed a complete smile makeover it was me. I found Smile Make Over and two other clinics on the internet. I began my correspondence. Smile Make Over was consistently two to three times faster to respond than the other clinics and much more professional. After several weeks of emails, back and forth, it was clear that Smile Make Over would be my choice. I planned my entire trip to the Philippines based on the treatment plan that Dr Tey provided. I flew to the Philippines from Hawaii. I was greeted by very friendly, respectful and warm staff. I felt as if I were a family member. I was so impressed by the cleanliness, organization, and modern equipment. Everything so sparkly clean. The dentists were very happy and friendly. In fact, several of them sang while they worked on me. (Dr Nolan, you might want to keep your day job. Haha) The dental assistants were the best. One in particular (Heidi) was so comforting and soothing. She would pat me on the shoulder when she would see me tense up. This was a distraction that soothed me very well. In fact, on several occasions I actually fell asleep in the chair! This from someone who has been deathly afraid of the dentist since I was nine years old. I now have a smile that I am proud to show off. I smile all the time now. My life has been literally transformed by Smile Make Over. People have actually noticed and commented on my nice teeth. All the staff were very professional and courteous. The dentists really took care of my needs and were very careful with the procedures. I was very pleased with the end results. Dr. Diane did a good job with my front tooth. She made me feel very comfortable, and she even sings at times which had put me at ease :) Dr. Tey made sure that everything was perfect, which I highly appreciated. Dr. Nolan was very detail oriented, and Dr. Fe was very kind and careful.
I had to go back several times because they had to make a lot of adjustments. Although it wasn't easy to travel from my home town to their office because it was very far, I feel like everything was worth it. I know they could have done better with my lower bridge, but Dr. Tey explained to me exactly what we needed to do to achieve the perfect look, but because of the time conflict, I wasn't able to let them redo everything. Still, I'm very satisfied with all the work that they've done. I will definitely recommend this office to my friends and family, and will definitely go back to their office again when I visit the Philippines. Thank you all so much for everything!

I had the pleasure of getting some needed dental treatment during my recent visit to the P.I. I received info on Dr. Tey's clinic from friends who live in A.C. The entire Staff was very friendly, professional and quickly relieve any doubt or worries about the care and services they provide. The cost additionally is far less than what it would have cost in the USA. I additionally called the day prior to my departing the P.I. to get a courtesy check to ensure everything was good and they got me an appointment even though they were very busy. I am sure there are many proficient Dentist in A.C. but I can assure everyone that you will not find a more professional and caring clinic. Dr. Theresa additionally is a "Hands on Professional" who is continually going from patient to patient to ensure complete satisfaction and observing all levels of the treatment. This clinic's technology is equal to if not superior to most dental offices in the USA. I will be visiting the P.I. in March of 2012 and will plan to get additional required dental care completed at Dr. Theresa's facility. I strongly recommend this clinic to any person requiring dental service or just basic dental maintenance. Well Done Dr. Theresa and your entire Staff.

I must start by saying that I usually do not take the time to write reviews, but my experience was so great at Smile makeover that I had to write and give my recommendation.
I am 42 male from California and wanted to have my smile redone with crowns. I was a teeth grinder and it was time to get the work done. I did alot of research in the US and went to several dentists and got complete exams and reviews. The cost of what I needed done in the US was between 25k to 30k thousand dollars. I was looking for a better option so i researched the Phillipines and thought it would be great take a vacation and at the same time get my teeth done. So I found Smile Makeovers website and carefully read all of the positive reviews. I then sent Dr. Tey a personal email about my situation and to my surprise she answered me back the same day. I found Dr. Tey to be extremely knowledgable and no pressure. Over the course of a couple of months we exchanged emails back and forth and became friends. I really developed a great confidence with her. She also eleviated my fears about the quality of work, standard of care and hygiene at her clinic compared to a US dentist. So I finally made my trip and I cant write enough positive things to say about Dr. Tey and her team. I felt like a member of the family. Not only did her standard of care far exceed any dentist that I have been to in the US, the results are amazing and the cost was about the same as I would have paid just for my trip. So I saved a fortune and in my mind got a better result that I would have achieved if I went to any other dentist in the US.I even got a chance to have dinner with her and her team and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.

I contacted this clinic (and others) through their web sites to get estimates for a dental night guard. I actually changed my travel plans to visit their city. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. The equipment is modern and clean and the office is beautiful. The price was exactly as promised (much less than estimates in the US) and the quality exceeded my expectations.

I was exceptionally happy with the results of my treatment. I am quite phobic about having dental work done, but the treatment I received was virtually pain free. I had several fillings done, had two crowns made and fitted and had general cleaning of my teeth. All the work was carried out efficiently and well.

My plan was to get Veneers but I was concerned about them "popping off" due to clenching, grinding or chewing. Dr. Tey and her staff did a comprehensive exam and studied my bite and occlusion, complete with Xrays, molds, and occlusion modeling. It was determined that the veneers had a level of risk that I did not accept. Dr. Tey offered another choice, either metal infused porcelain crowns on my 6 front teeth or Zirconia crowns (more expensive). I chose the Zirconia because they look better. I was very pleased with the attention to detail during all facets of treatment. They were willing to take as much time as necessary to get the results we both wanted. World class staff and excellent results. State of the art facility and equipment. Very pleased.

Would you return for further treatment?
I plan on doing all future crowns and other expensive dental work at this clinic. The superb staff works at a fraction of the cost in the USA. Even with insurance in the USA it is still cheaper here.

Everything my husband and I had done with our teeth was exactly what we hoped for and more. Everything was on time, every time we were there. The quotes we were given was exact. The root canals, cleaning, crowns, fillings and so on we were happy with. All round, it was the best treatment we've ever had and will definately go back again if we need to get more dental work done.

Highly Recommend this clinic. It's got a wonderful, clean and friendly atmosphere and very professional, with state of the art equipment and wonderful staff.

I have had dental problems ever since an accident near 35 years ago. I have seen many dentists over this time and must have spend near to AU$150,000 on dentistry over this time. My last episode was with a dentist in Australia that quoted me, after spending $35,000 on treatment, another $25,000 to complete the treatment. I said "Thank You Very Much" and booked a Ticket to the Philippines, where I met Dr. Tey. The smartest thing I've ever done is getting my treatment at "Smilemakeover Dental Clinic". I had some Extractions, 8 new Implants, 15 Crowns (that had recently cost me a lot of money) replaced, plus other works, done. I am extremely happy with the quality of the treatment, without even considering the amount of money I have saved!
Would you recommend the clinic?
All the staff at "Smilemakeover Dental Clinic were proficient english speakers, very friendly and treated me with utmost respect. Yes, I do recommend this clinic to anyone for the quality of work and the friendly treatment, without even thinking about the huge cost savings.

Everytime I go to "Smilemakeover Dental Clinic" I'm immediately recognised and treated like an old friend, which pleases me a lot. I don't think I will ever go to another dentist! Yes, I will return!

I was delighted with the treatment. Despite me being a somewhat difficult patient Dr. Tey was really gentle, patient and understanding. The treatment was explained precisely to me and the price was quoted right at the beginning which is exactly what the price was at the end. I know that in Europe I would have paid considerably more!!! The transformation to my teeth and to my life in general has been amazing. I know have a smile that I'm not afraid to show anymore.
Would you recommend the clinic?
Yes, absolutely and I have recommended the clinic to several of my friends. I was a quite difficult patient at the beginning and Dr. Tey did everything humanly possible to overcome and to help me conquer my dental phobia. She even gave me her personal cell # and spoke with me outside of office hours to answer my questions and concerns. Then the treatment was pushed through in record time as I was due to fly out back to work.
Would you return for further treatment?
Absolutely Yes - I plan to go back for a check up next time I'm in the Philippines. I hope not to need any more extensive dental work but if I did I would really fly round the world just to visit Dr. Tey.

Overall I was very pleased with my treatment. I got 17 crowns, 2 root canals and 1 tooth implant. My teeth look great now. I could not have afforded to do this in the US. The dentists took great care to ensure I had a proper bite when all was finished. The care and service here is probably better than what I have experienced back home. My only complaint is not giving me generous amounts of anesthesia before beginning some procedures. Upon my request they always gave me more. This is only a very minor criticism compared to the great work that was done.
Would you recommend the clinic?
Yes, I would recommend this clinic. While the prices are cheap compared to western dentists, you can get dental work done even more cheaply if you wait until you arrive and look around locally. But, if you want the assurance of excellent work up front, the Smile Makeover Clinic is probably one of the best in the Philippines.
Would you return for further treatment?
I will be returning in January 2011 to finish my implant. I would go twice a year if I lived closer.
