Biography:
Philip qualified as a dental surgeon from Queen’s University, Belfast in July 1999. He then practiced as an Associate General Dental Practitioner in Carrickfergus until 2003.In 2004 Philip opened the doors of Dunmurry Dental Practice and by focusing on high quality dental care has seen the practice grow from strength to strength winning numerous business and dental awards, including Dentistry’s Best Young Dentist in 2008 and 2009.

He continues his post-graduate professional development on an ongoing basis, attending lectures and courses organised by British Dental Association and Northern Ireland Post Graduate Council. He has recently completed courses in Dental Implants and Endodontics, and has gained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for Healthcare Professionals. He is also a part-time Special Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Queen’s University Belfast and a examiner for Dental Nursing Students.

Tracey qualified as a dental surgeon from Queen’s University, Belfast and joined the Dunmurry Dental Practice team in August 2006. She continues her post-graduate professional development on an ongoing basis, attending lectures and courses organised by BDA and Post Graduate Council, and has a keen interest in children’s dentistry.Tracey attended the Chicago dental conference in 2007 developing an understanding for the latest restorative procedures. She has recently her post graduate Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Edel Hughes

Biography:
Edel qualified as a dental surgeon from Queen’s University, Belfast and joined the Practice in August 2009. She continues her post graduate professional development on an ongoing basis, attending lectures and courses, and has recently attended the BDA Conference in Liverpool.She has spent time in hospital orthodontics clinics and a local specialist oral surgery practice. Edel also has two years experience in Community Dental Services, gaining experience in paediatric dentistry and has a particular interest in the management of traumatised teeth.
