Would you recommend the clinic?
I would recommend the clinic to people who need dental work and can't or don't wish to pay the prices charged by US dentists. The dentists either speak fluent English or have an assistant there who does. In addition, the lodging at the Hacienda Los Algodones is very clean and comfortable, and is staffed by friendly helpful people.
Would you return for further treatment?
Yes, I plan to return for further work in the future, and bring my family. It's also an interesting (and safe) little town to visit....

I had new upper and lower plates made. They used my old plates to make the impressions. When I got the new plates the lower was so loose it flopped around when I talked. They had to reline it and then sent me home. Two weeks later I went back and they ground in the bite. They are still loose in my mouth, and food gets under them when I eat.

Redone Root Canal

I went down there the first time for a root cancel. They gave me a Dr. She does not do root cancel. After 3 hours in the chair, I was told to come back and so they can finish the job. I drove back there and another Dr. did the root canal , but the first Dr put the cap on. 5 months later it came off.. Now I drove back and they put the cap on but I feel a nerve and I can not eat on that side. It cost 75.00 is gas to go there.

The place was busy but they made sure everyone felt like they were being taken care of and there are several doctors on staff to attend to each patient. The dentist did not leave me for any more than 5 minutes waiting.
I did have to ask for a few more shots to numb my mouth but other than that the dentist was kind, we communicated fine, his assistant was sweet and pleasant. Everyone was so nice, easy to deal with, made sure I was taken care of in every way they could. the place is super clean too!
I do have several sore spots, but it has only been a week, and one crown needs to be filed down a little, but this only because I couldnt really feel my bite normally at the time of it being put on. I am hoping to go either to a local dentist or maybe just make another trip in a month and take care of it. Overall my dental experience in Los Algodones was by the best I have experienced in my life. Sani Dental had ALOT to do with that.

My husband and I had extensive work done at Sani Dental Group in April 2012. He had 29 crowns with no problems and work was completed in 3 days. I had 9 crowns and a bite splint made because I suffer from TMJ. I have been back for some adjustments (as working with my jaw problems is difficult). They have been excellent in following thru with their work and providing free accommodation when we were there because of all the work that we had done. They were very honest with us about the work that needed to be done and the prices were SO much lower than the US. (under $6500 for all work done on both of us) Very friendly and accommodating staff. We would recommend Sani Dental and will go back for any future dental needs. We have also recommended them to several of our friends.

First day was kind of long because of exam and consultation, but the rest went quickly. Friendly staff. I liked how the dentist never left you - stayed until entire procedure was done, no matter how long. Happier with their work than my local dentist in Phoenix. Quick to give a 10% discount if you ask. While they give advice, use your own discretion on just how much you want done.

This clinic was referred to us by Medical Tourism Corp. and I had done online research to find reviews. I had checked out several options and chose this clinic. My husband and I both had expensive dental work done here. He had 29 crowns put in and now has a beautiful smile. I had 9 crowns done and some bite adjustment because of problems with TMJ. Dr. Javier was the dentist we both had and he did a fabulous job. Nice fittings, up under gums, good color and very natural looking. I then saw Dr. Barron in regards to my TMJ and he made a night guard for me to wear hoping that it would help relieve muscle tightness in my jaws. This is taking some adjustment time, but hoping that it works. Everyone there was very professional and friendly. The office is very busy and appointments can be delayed, just bring some patience, a book or watch one of several TV's that are provided. The difference in pricing is WELL worth the extra waiting time. Between the two of us, we are guessing that we saved in excess of $20,000 & a complimentary three night stay at the Hacienda Hotel. We also want to send a special thank you to Martin and April for your extra time and help. We will definitely recommend this clinic to our friends and family.

Because I needed extensive work, a room was provided for us. Not a 5 Star, but clean and comfortable. They even provide transportation from the motel to the clinic. I was quite satisfied with their work. The cost was 60% less than what I was quoted in the US.

Were you pleased with the treatment?
The Sani clinic is clean and very busy. I read of some people complaining of waiting even with an appointment. This clinic is not for people who expect to enter on the hour of their appointment. You must be flexible as they are also dealing with unexpected situations treating other patients. My bridge was cracked and they replaced it plus 3 more crowns. It looks better than the $7,000 bridge I walked in with. I would NEVER receive the personal attention I got and been able to explain what I wanted in the States. No way. These people are very very busy and they are pumping out implants, crowns, bridges and veneers every day, even Saturdays. The quality of the porcelain to metal crowns is very good and they don't scrimp on layering on the porcelain over metal. My one complaint is bonding. They don't have the pastes and buffs to polish out rough edges and I ended up popping out two of them using dental floss. They did replace them but they are rough and I must get them polished. The laser treatments for bone and gum regrowth are fabulous and also the ozone cleanings can't be beat. I had looked for a dentist offering this in the U.S. years ago and there were only a handful and of course very expensive. I am overall very very happy with my experience at Sani. This is probably the most active clinic in Algodones. If you can't go with the flow this might not be the place for you as there are days you will come in for your appointment at 9 a.m. and leave in the evening, depending on your treatment plan. Just keep communicating and ask questions, these people are busy so make sure you are communicating well and they do have English speaking staff to translate for you. Everyone was very friendly and patient in spite of a demanding schedule and workload.

Treatment was excellent. I stayed for 9 days as I had a lot of crown work and an implant done. The work was of high quality and I will be going back to finish the implant in a couple of months. Everyone's experience is different; but mine was very positive. I would recommend this clinic and would also suggest that patients bring a book to read in case there is a wait and also to give the dentist plenty of time to do the best job possible. The cost of my dental work was 1/5 the cost of the same procedures in the US.

She answered all of my questions and even called me once when I was concerned about safety/security. My visit to Los Algodones was very positive and the accomodations at Hacienda Hotel were just great. I met a lot of people there that I really enjoyed talking to. When ever I needed to go anywhere, the van took me. My doctor at SANI was wonderful and I look forward to my next visit in April. Dr. E. Their man met us at the border and escorted us to the office. They did an examination and gave us our options. So far we have had two root canals and 12 caps. Have been caring and accurate. This facility was beautiful and clean, but that's where it ended. Very slow and disorganized. Even though I had an appointment, I waited 2 hours and was never seen. I walked out. No apology, nothing. All the worker bees took their lunch promptly at 11:30 in the break room, leaving a waiting room full of patients to wonder what was going on. I went down the street and was seen immediately. NOT RECOMMENDED.

The quality of the dental work is excellent; it is as good as anywhere I've had work done. The dentist was very conscientious in the fitting of the crowns. Because of the travel time to get to Los Algodones, you need to be prepared to be in the dental chair 4-5 hours since the work is done in 3-4 days as opposed to stateside dentists who would do the work in 4 or 5 appointments spread over several weeks. The staff was very good about keeping us advised of our appointment times, since they had to be changed a few times because the dentist was not satisfied with the way the crowns were fitting. Final cost was as originally quoted, and was about 1/5th of what a stateside dentist had quoted.

well worth it

I booked an appointment with Sani not knowing for sure what to expect, being Mexico and all. I was nervous initially when I stepped into the office but it was clean and well run with professionalism. English was no problem as there were bilingual people helping at every step when needed.
My experience in the U.S. with dentists is that they are egotistical and expect you to be happy they are giving you their time. Fancy offices, personnel, and, HUGE prices to pay for it all! At the same time, quality (in my experience) was average at best. In fact the reason I had to have this work done was because of faulty work by an American dentist.
That said, at Sani, it was no nonsense and great work!. The Dentist (Dr. Ramirez)was like a craftsman. He didn't come in with a bunch of B.S. and fancy clothes, he just got down to work and you could tell he was good at what he does. He seemed to take pride in doing an excellent job. That meant allot to me. It wasn't all about the money like it seems in the U.S.
He did a root canal, Post/build-up and crown. It came out excellent! $350 as opposed to around $1700 in the U.s.
I have no complaints other than it sucks to drive 4 hours to get to their office. However the savings is well worth it!
Now that I have a personal rapport with doctor Ramirez I feel very comfortable returning for further work and will refer to friends.

The dentist treating me was well schooled and very professional,he spoke very good english and was very considerate of any discomfort I might be experiencing, making sure I was never in any pain.Although this was a major dental procedure and I was on a very tight time frame, having their own lab on site made it possible to get it all done.The price quoted after the initial evaulation was the price I paid! I will say the equipment was not the latest state of the art,reminded me of U.S.dental in the 80's but everthing needed was readily available.Cost was less than 1/4 of the U.S. price,and personal safety while in mexico was never an issue. Would recommend them to my friends and met many repeat customers from as far away as canada.Be prepared for long days in the chair if it's needed.My work would have been over many months normally but was completed in 4 days.You pay on a daily completion amount and credit cards are accepted with no problems.

My bite has improved over time

Since this was my first time in Los Algodones, I was nervous. The Doctor spoke little English and very softly, but his assistant spoke good English. It has been about 5 weeks for my 2 crowns and the bite has improved over time, but I don't think it is quite right. Maybe he could have done more bite paper tests (I was the last patient that day).

They did a great job
Were you pleased with the treatment?
I had a couple of root canals and some caps, and all I got to say is that they did a great job, I got no problems at all. And the prices are really good.
Would you recommend the clinic?
The peoplle who work in there apeak really good English and they all are real nice people, they treat me really good and YES... I really recommend this place.
Would you return for further treatment?
If I need any other kind of treatment I will go back.
