Dock Road, Galway Review by K - Were you pleased with the treatment?
My teeth look fantastic! I was really concious before of the gaps, uneveness and shade of my teeth - I've quite a wide smile so whenever I saw photos of myself all I'd be able to focus on were my imperfect teeth... you know it's time to sort them out when you start to avoid smiling! Now I think my smile is naturally beautiful - I'll be showing these off as much as I can! Before treatment started I had a pretty good idea of what to expect - Dr Moore made a mock-up of the expected final product for me to approve, and explained how he'd get there. Financially everything was very clear, there were no surpises and I think I had excellent value!

The Well Road, Ratoath Review by johnb - Were you pleased with the treatment?
Due to an unpleasant experience as a child even in my 30s I have a deep rooted (excuse the pun!) fear of visiting the dentist. So when I began to get a constant throbbing pain in my teeth as much as I tried to put off visiting the dentist eventually the unbearable pain meant I had no choice. I went to my local dentist and they told me I needed a root canal treatment. I just told them that I wanted to be out of pain so they gave me a course of antibiotics and I never went back. When the pain came back again, my girlfriend began looking up dentists who specialise in treating nervous patients. She found the Ratoath Dental Centre website and made an appointment for me straight away. The evening of the appointment I did feel a bit embarrassed, a grown man sweating at the thoughts of being in the dentist but as I went into the surgery and was introduce to Dr Conor Irwin he stood up and shook my hand and talked me through why I was here. What really struck me about him was that he actaully LISTENED to me and UNDERSTOOD how nervous I was. All we did on the first appointment was talk and come up with a way to treat all the problems I had as a result of my fear. He went through what sedation was, the cost and everything involved in my treatment. I left that dental practice and for the first time i felt myself thinking, "I'm definately coming back here" Now because I was so bad with dentists I did need two appointments but it was well worth the €160 I paid each time. That stuff was amazing!!!! All I remember is going into the surgery then being told it was over and my girlfriend bringing me home. I was at work the next day not a bother on me. I now trust Dr Conor Irwin and will definately be going for my 6 monthly check up with him in future. Thank you so much!!

Old Quarter House, Little Ellen Street, Limerick City Review by Kate - Were you pleased with the treatment?
No treatment was needed yet. Advised to use sensodyne and wait until tooth had settled down. if not to seek treatment. I was not charged even though he had taken two x-rays. He explained everything clearly and could not have been more helpful. I would highly recommend him.

Forster court, Galway city Review by Damien - Were you pleased with the treatment?
I would highly recommend this clinic. Mary and her team do an excellent job. It has a very friendly atmosphere and Mary has you completely at ease during the visit. Bronagh is also a great hygieniest. A couple of treatments by her saved me at least €1,000 (amount quoted by another dentist to get my gum disease sorted!!) They also ring you the day before to remind you about your upcoming visit - the call only takes a minute but it is great to be reminded as I tend to forget my appointments :-)

1 Devon Park, Lower Salthill, Galway City Periodontitis Treatment: Your periodontal tissues are basically your gums! These are important to your overall dental health as they support your teeth. Over 80% of most adults have some form of gum disease (Periodontitis) and/or mouth odour, a problem that can be reduced with regular visits to our Dentists and Hygienists. Many people are unaware that they have gum disease as there are very few symptoms until the infection is fairly advanced. Things to look out for are bleeding gums, sensitive gums, bad breath and receding gums, which are all early indications of gum disease. There are many types of gum disease and they can affect both young and old. Heredity does play a part in gum disease so if a family member has it then a thorough examination is advisable. Lifestyle impacts severely on gum disease so a good nutritious diet and avoiding smoking is vital. Gum disease can be prevented with good oral hygiene and regular visits to our Hygienist. Early stages are treated with simple scaling and oral hygiene instruction, which can be carried out in conjunction with six monthly check-ups. Later stages are treated with Root Debridement (deep cleaning) and local anaesthetic is usually given. The treatment is carried out by our fully qualified and experienced Hygienists. They will clean and polish your teeth, advise you on how to care for your teeth and gums on a routine daily basis. The Hygienist can also administer Fluoride, Fissure Seal teeth, and give local anaesthetic if required. They also provide dietary and anti-smoking advice, all of which are part of our programme of prevention. Advanced gum disease is treated with more complex surgical procedures.

58 Main Street, Swords Review by Louise - Were you pleased with the treatment?
The staff are amazing and so understanding to your needs. They have this gadget called the wand which means no more injections you have to pay a little bit extra for this but it is soooooo worth it. Eoin also takes before and after shots of what he has done which is pretty cool. I would recommend them to anyone especially people who are nervous or put off going to the dentist because they are afraid (i include myself in that category).
