Lorenzana & Dental Associates

Dr. Lorenzana has been in practice since 1974, and until 1979 his dental office was dedicated to general practice with a special focus in Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics.

In the beginning of 1979 he went to the United States to pursue his training in Prosthodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and later at The Medical University of South Carolina.

In 1982 he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry, a position he held for six years. He achieved a second dental degree as a doctor in Dental Surgery at Baylor College and opened a private practice of Prosthodontics for seven years in the prestigious, Dallas, Highland Park area.

In the late 80’s he obtained the most prestigious diploma from The American Board of Prothodontists, which makes him an expert in Prosthodontics in the United States of America.

Dr. Lorenzana’s research has been published in many well-recognized worldwide journals, and he has also participated as a speaker in different conferences worldwide regarding medical tourism.

He decided in 1992 to return to El Salvador and open his practice forming the now known Lorenzana & Dental Associates.

Surgical Dental Assistant Certified

Nancy has been part of the team for more than 20 years now. She helps Dr. Lorenzana with surgical procedures by setting up the operating room and arranging surgical instruments and equipment to use in the room during a dental operation.

Nancy also helps patients feel comfortable before a particular surgery. She assists Dr. Lorenzana in performing treatment to the patient in restorative dentistry, dental implant surgery among others. She assists Dr. Lorenzana in laboratory work. She provides the post-surgical and oral hygiene instructions integral to the success of your treatment. She is Dr Lorenzana’s right hand.

Fátima prepares the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding suction devices, taking X-rays. She focuses most of the time on the procedure; she effectively becomes Dr. Lorenzana´s extra hands.

She is responsible for a sterile and neat working environment developing infection control protocol and prepares sterilizing instruments and equipment. She has strong communication skills.

Monica will be your first contact online or phone, providing the best option of your dental treatment plan with Dr. Lorenzana and staff.

On your trip to El Salvador she can assist you with: accommodation, transportation and all the information regarding your dental visit. She will be your hostess while you are in the country.

Alejandra is the first contact with our local patients; she is responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, to call patients to remind their appointments. She is a truly people's person.

Cerec Technician Assistance

He is our in lab technician assistance who works with Dr. Lorenzana creating individual all ceramic restorations in one single appointment. Dr. Lorenzana, Cerec and Alexander make the perfect combination to give our patients aesthetic and functional restorations.
