So far so good! I went online to check the dentist reviews in the Guanacaste area. Diago had good reviews and lots of them. I contacted two dental clinics with good reviews and Diago got back to me in a timely manner as I had left a message saying I had a toothache that was bothering me. Turned out that it was an abscess which I had suspected. He put me on antibiotics for a couple of days and then did the root canal. I have had a lot of dental work in my life and he did a good job. He was very good at explaining everything to me and went over the x-rays with me. Better yet when I told him I thought I needed my crowns replaced he explained to me why I did not so he is not out to rip you off. He seems to genuinely care for his client's welfare and I think it is very safe to recommend him to others.

Two dentists in Canada recommended dental implants in place of my lower teeth. I was on vacation in Costa Rica and decided to get another opinion. I first approached another dentist in Coco but was turned off by his manner. I then sent my file to Dr. Ballestero. From that moment it was clear that Dr. B was different! He phoned me in Canada to discuss the recommendations and ultimately he recommended I do not go the full implant route. Not only was the cost less than 1/4 of the quotes I received in Canada - but the time, and care, and concern were far superior to what I had been receiving or have ever received from a dentist. I had the work done in March 2018 and the experience was amazing. Dr. Ballestero's professionalism coupled with his caring manner are unmatched. If there was a way to give him more than 5 stars I would! I would happily recommend Dr. Ballestero to anyone considering any level of dental treatment.

Due to a long story, I don't need to go into, I needed extensive dental work. I had an appointment and evaluation with Dr. Lopez in February 2018. At that time I decided to begin my work. I just returned (June) from the completion of my work, which included a bottom All on Four ( five in my case) and upper root canals, crowns and veneers. The results are amazing. Dr. Lopez and the entire staff are kind, gentle, compassionate and explain every step of the way. The entire cost was a small fraction of what the same would have cost in the US. Even with travel expenses, the price was incredible. Not to mention, a great place to recover from any work. I cannot recommend highly enough. Top rating!
