Review I live in Canada and recently traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica, for dental treatment. I am commenting to express my sincere Thank You to Dr. Marco Munoz Cavallini sr., Dr. Marco Munoz Peralta jr and their staff for the wonderful work and warm, caring treatment I received in September 2007. As promised, Drs. Munoz Cavallini and Munoz Peralta changed my life by performing a full mouth restoration. This included the initial consultation, 6 implants, 14 crowns, tooth reconstruction, 2 extractions, 2 veneers, 14 temporary teeth, panoramic x-rays, various study models, bite adjustments, cleaning and polishing. The total charges came to $7,500.00, (a fraction of the proposed charges 52,000.00 incl taxes! by my Canadian Dentists.) The Costa Rica dentists not only honored our initial verbal quote, but indeed gave me more than we originally bargained for. While the original quote at 7,500.00 stipulated 12 crowns, Dr. Marco Munoz Peralta ultimately gave me 14 crowns and two veneers for the same price: He wanted to ensure a perfect job. And at last, I gained a beautiful smile and new self confidence. Not only that, but the entire proceedings began within 3 hours of my arrival at the airport and took, all in all, 12 working days rather than 8-months projected by my Canadian Dentist. In the late afternoon of my arrival, Dr. Munoz completed panoramic X-Rays and a study model and discussed the options with me. The following morning, Dr. Munoz performed the first four (absolutely painless!) implants and I ended up eating steak that same day. Barbara, Victoria, 17 Jun 09

Review I decided on Costa Rica after reading 100s of reviews on Dentistry from around the world and Dr Alberto Coto Calvo’s name from San Jose Costa Rica kept standing out so I contacted him by email, he promptly responded with the answers to my questions and after more emails the journey began from Australia. On arrival my wife and I were picked up from the airport by the doctor' driver Mauricio at 10.00pm and taken to Casa Lima hotel in Rohr Moser San Jose (very reasonably priced, clean and very friendly. Look it up on the internet). The next morning I was taken to the surgery by Mauricio to meet Doctor Alberto and have the initial consultation. Mauricio is the Doc' driver who picks you up and takes you back to the airport also back and forth to the surgery. After being checked out I was given an excellent quote and sent for a panoramic x-ray but unfortunately it was found that I needed a small bone graft at the back and it wasn’t practical for me to come back in four months to have more implants to that area so on ‘Docs’ advice it was suggested that I have 3 implants and 18 zirconium crowns and also 2 root canals done. The work Doctor Alberto has done on me is just amazing and when my wife seen the finish results she decided to have some work done herself, 7 crowns on back teeth, Scrapped scaled and cleaned also zoom whitened, a total cost after discounts for cash for both of us was the fantastic price of just on $11,150, in Australia you would be looking at 6 to 8 times that amount. When I left Australia I thought that this Dentist, Doctor Alberto Coto Calvo would be GOOD and he turned out to be just that, he doesn’t seem to be money driven and is more interested in looking to his patients needs seeing that everything is OK. He along with his staff worked until midnight on the night before we left on my wife’s teeth to make sure she was finished and everything was perfect because she made the decision late in our holiday to have the work done. All the work is done on the premises by Doctor Alberto and his staff Daniela, Diego, Ricardo and Carlos and they are just like a big happy family. I really can’t speak highly enough of this dentist, his professionalism and manner towards his patients is second to none and I have no hesitation on recommending him to anyone. Les Bates. Review After reading a lot of reviews for dental service I made my choice with Doctor Gadea dental clinic in San Jose. I set appointment with Dr. Gadea in February 2013. Rehabilitation included 11 veneers, 3 porcelain crowns and 2 cups over existing implants. I am very happy with the result I got. My teeth look very natural, I tried to avoid very bright colour of veneers and wanted them to be translucent like natural teeth are. Doctor Gadea did excellent job, I am absolutely happy with my new smile. I got temporary teeth between 2 appointments while I was travelling in CR with my family. During that week I also did not have any concerns, just was careful with dense food.It was hard decision for me, my dentist in Seattle did not recommend to get this treatment in Costa Rica. Of course, I would spend 65% more doing it in my home town! On the other hand I realised that it might be a big risk if the dentist you choose is not good in restorative / cosmetic treatment. I am happy I made right choice, I received great service for very affordable price. Thank you, Doctor Gadea and your staff for excellent job! I got a lot of complements upon my return to US.
