LifeCare Dental - Kingsway

Dr Alex Negoescu is LifeCare Dental’s Principal Dentist 

and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1980 from the University of Sydney. 

Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales. During his university years, Alex trained as a lieutenant in the Army Reserve (infantry) and spent all of his holidays and spare time on army camps. After graduating as a dentist, Alex relocated to Port Headland, where he worked for five years and met and married his wife Kate. Alex and Kate have two grown children – Loulou who is studying physiotherapy and John who is completing a Master’s degree in strength and conditioning.

Alex founded LifeCare Dental in 1989 and now has over 34 years of experience practicing dentistry. He has grown his practice by one dentist a year for 25 years and places a strong emphasis on continuing education within LifeCare. His focus is on his dentists having the highest standard of evidence based dentistry and in addition to mandatory Continual Professional Development points, all LifeCare dentists are required to keep up their studies. Not only does Alex operate as LifeCare’s Principal Dentist, but he also mentors dental graduates, passing on his wealth of experience to young dentists.

In 1998 Alex was involved in one of the two yearly Australian Dental Association conferences where four of his dentists conducted a live implant demonstration on stage. He has presented at a Dental Corporation Australia conference on building a successful practice and is a member of the Australian Dental Society, Prosthodontic Society, Periodontics Society, Endodontics Society and Osseo-integration Society.

In his spare time, Alex enjoys travelling with his family, relaxing down south and skiing. He is also an avid gym enthusiast, working out regularly at the ‘Mill Gym’. Alex speaks fluent Romanian and has visited Papua New Guinea for volunteer work.

Dr Elaine Tseu is a highly experienced and passionate dentist who always delivers gentle, professional and quality dental care to her patients. 

She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide and commenced work at LifeCare Dental in 2006.

Elaine was born in Malaysia, but raised in Vancouver, Canada. She worked at LifeCare Forrest Chase for several years, before moving to the Kingsway practice for a change of environment. The number of Forrest Chase patients who continue to seek treatment from Elaine is a testament to how comfortable and relaxed patients are under her care.

Elaine is passionate about providing dental care that promotes positive dental health, helping patients achieve beautiful and healthy smiles for life. She understands that dental visits can be overwhelming and strives to improve patients past negative dental experiences and to restore their confidence in seeking treatment by creating a relaxed and comfortable environment with her gentle demeanour and affable personality. She has had several experiences in treating patients under nitrous sedation and works closely with qualified anaesthetists to provide dental treatment which is both safe and relaxing for the patient.

Elaine is a keen believer in continuing professional education. In order to provide the best dental care for her patient’s she regularly attends seminars, courses, and exhibitions (both locally and internationally) to keep abreast with new and improved techniques and technological advancement.

Outside of dentistry, Elaine enjoys pilates, weekly church commitments, spending time with her family and walking her two dogs Sooty and Custard.

Dr Saket Rai graduated from dentistry in 2004 from M. S. Ramaiah Dental College – Rajiv Gandhi University in Bangalore, India. 

After graduation, Saket spent three years working in India as a dental surgeon before moving to Australia to do a Masters in Forensic Dentistry (Odontology) at the University of Western Australia. In 2011, he completed the Australian Dental Council registration examinations and has been working at LifeCare dental ever since.

Saket is passionate about providing empathetic, ethical and high quality dental care to all patients. He aspires to improve awareness about the impact of oral health on general wellbeing and has a keen interest in oral surgery and dental implants.

Saket makes every effort to keep up to date with current trends in health care, attending Continuing Professional Development courses on a regular basis to maintain the highest standards of care. He contributes daily to the LifeCare team by creating a friendly atmosphere with his sense of humour and supportive nature.

In addition to English, Saket speaks fluent Hindi and belongs to a family of doctors – his brother and wife are also dentists. When he is not working, Saket likes to spend his spare time reading books, playing table tennis, watching the world news, documentaries and movies.

Dr Lucy Ge is a caring and gentle dentist whose aim is to provide quality dental care to patients from all walks of life. 

Lucy was born in Beijing, but was raised in Perth and obtained her qualification from the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science.

Lucy is interested in all areas of dentistry, including but not limited to oral surgery/wisdom extractions, root canal therapy, crown and bridge and preventive dentistry/establishment of sound oral health habits. She also works in close cooperation with dental anaesthetists and is happy to facilitate treatment under sedation (sleep) for those who are extra nervous.

Lucy is fluent in both written and verbal Mandarin and possesses excellent cross culture sensitivity. Her empathetic and approachable nature makes her very likeable amongst her patients and she’s always happy to see your kids!

Dr Greer Korbosky is a friendly, gentle and caring dentist who graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2008 

and has worked for LifeCare Dental ever since. Prior to this she received a Science degree from the University of Western Australia (Biomedical) in which pathology and pharmacology were her main fields of interests.

It was her desire to have a job that worked around a family life that drew her to dentistry, and in particular LifeCare. The ability to work after hours has meant she can enjoy family life with her husband Ryan, and her two children – Hugo who is a very vivacious 3 year old and a spirited and determined one year old, Imogen

Greer has particular interests in the surgical side of dentistry, namely wisdoms teeth extractions and implants and is currently a member of the Australian Dental Association, and the International Team of Implantology. She also strives to provide gentle and painless dental experience and currently uses the DentalVibe, a device designed to reduce the pain and fear associated with a dental injection.

Outside of work Greer enjoys the joys and challenges of raising two children, travelling for work or pleasure and netball.

Dr Mariam Bassiri graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2008 and has been working at Lifecare Dental, Kingsway ever since.

Mariam is a very gentle and caring dentist, and believes the most important aspect of dental treatment is to provide high quality dental care as well as ensuring the comfort of her patients during dental treatment. She takes the time to explain procedures to patients so they understand why they are having it done and provides different treatment options to suit a patient’s financial situation.

Mariam regularly attends courses and seminars to keep up to date with the latest in the dental field and incorporates this in everyday dental practice.

Dr Lydia Ling is a professional and caring dentist who completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide. 

Lydia has been working at LifeCare Dental since graduating from university in 2007.

She has a special interest in ongoing education and training and frequently attends Continuous Professional Development events. Lydia is a compassionate dentist who believes in the importance of her patient’s making informed decisions when considering treatment options. She is not pushy with treatments and prefers to work together with patients to reach a decision that they are both comfortable with. In addition to English, Lydia speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa.

Lydia is mother to two beautiful girls aged 2 and 4 and regularly volunteers at her daughter’s school. Outside of dentistry she likes to spend her spare time with family and friends, learning to bake and taking her kids to explore new places.

Dr Karun Krishnan graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science and has been working at LifeCare for the past 12 months. 

He was born in India, but completed high school and university in Western Australia and has been living in Perth since 2003.

Karun has worked in both the private and public health systems and as part of his final year clinical placement in dental school worked in Albany and Bunbury dental health services. He is interested in all aspects of general dentistry, but is particularly drawn to prosthodontics and oral surgery. Karun believes in continuing his education to make sure that he keeps up to date on new knowledge and techniques.

Karun strives to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed and always tries to improve on patients’ previous dental experiences. He is passionate about dentistry and enjoys being able to provide a holistic treatment plan to improve his patient’s oral and general health.

In his spare time Karun enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with his family and friends. He appreciates good food and loves watching and participating in tennis and cricket.

Laine was born and raised in Perth where he attained his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia. He worked at Lifecare Dental as an assistant throughout his final year of study, where he gained significant exposure to complex restorative and surgical procedures working under principle dentist Alex Negoescu.

Laine is a kind and passionate dentist who aims to ensure everyone has a comfortable experience at our clinic. He understands that a dental visit can be a very stressful experience, having a few dental phobics in his own family. He is happy to spend the extra time required answering questions and makes himself available anytime you wish to speak about your treatment.

Laine likes any sport he can get involved in, but is particularly passionate about Australian Football. He has played senior football for the West Perth Falcons for the past 4 seasons, being a part of the 2013 premiership team. Laine applies the same level of dedication and discipline required to play WAFL football to his work, always striving to provide the best treatment for his patients.

In his spare time you’ll find Laine attending live music shows and digging through crates at record stores to add to his extensive vinyl music collection.
