MDS, PhD, FDSRCS (Eng), FFDRCS (Irel), Cert Bioethics Dr John Ferguson is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has previously held senior University and hospital positions in Melbourne and elsewhere. Dr Ferguson has extensive experience in dental implant placement and associated surgical procedures, using a number of different implant systems, and has a particular interest in bone graft reconstruction of the ridges for implant placement. Dr Ferguson is a member of the Australian Dental Association, and The Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

DDM, BDS (Otago), GradDipClinDent, MDS (Melb) Following completion of his Masters degree at Melbourne University, Dr Cherkasski has been in specialist practice restricted to prosthodontics, and continues to teach on a part-time basis at the University of Melbourne. He has broad knowledge and substantial practical experience in dental implantology and other aspects of restorative dentistry. The area of his particular interest lies in use of implants for immediate tooth replacement. Dr Cherkasski lectures nationally and internationally on dental implant-related issues. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, a full member of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists and is an executive member of the Australasian Osseointegration Society (Victorian branch).
