Fillings

$160 - $350

White Filling

Maintain that beautiful white smile. A filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures or trauma. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a white filling. White fillings are a composite of resin and filler used to restore most teeth affected by decay or trauma. These fillings are also used to replace the unsightly amalgam (mercury) fillings as they offer better aesthetics and are metal free. Here at Finesse we prefer to use a natural tooth coloured filling material that makes your teeth appear whiter, brighter and healthier than before. These fillings offer the same strength as natural tooth enamel and do not stain teeth. The surface of a white filling is also very smooth and therefore does not adhere to any food particles. These fillings can be matched to almost any colour and are useful tool in the enhancement of a person’s smile. They are not limited to only new dental restorations but may also be used to replace older repairs. These aesthetic materials will help give your smile a new lease on life.

Inman Aligner™

Finesse Dental is proud to introduce a new and leading edge cosmetic dentistry procedure that is taking the Australia by storm – The Inman Aligner. This innovative concept sees protruding or crowded teeth transformed in a matter of weeks! The revolutionary Inman Aligner now offers patients a fast orthodontic solution at an affordable cost. The Inman Aligner works best for mildly and moderately crowded front teeth, so maybe not suitable for everyone. However, in these situations we can offer other orthodontic treatments or it may be possible to combine the treatment with veneers (straightening the teeth first so that less tooth needs to be invasively prepared for the veneer). This can be discussed fully at your free consultation. Only certified Inman Aligner dentists can provide them. Dr. Robby Sehmi is one of the very few dentists in Australia to be fully accredited for Inman Aligner procedure. Dr. Sehmi, describes the treatment perfectly when he calls it a mild fine-tuning in cosmetic dentistry. The great thing about the Inman Aligner is its opened up the field to a greater number of people who previously would rather not have anything done at all, In many ways cosmetic dentistry has been failing these patients for many years. But now we have an option for every single case. For those who have got really nice teeth, but have crowding in their mouth, this is available

Invisalign™

We don’t use traditional braces because we know that your physical appearance matters to you. This highly specialised branch of Orthodontics can’t be administered by any dentist. We use Invisalign invisible braces to achieve the results you want. Dr. Robby Sehmi is the only accredited Invisalign specialists in Stanhope Gardens. Invisalign is a process that straightens your teeth by using a series of clear, removable aligners that replaces the need for metal braces. The course of treatment involves changing aligners approximately every two weeks, moving your teeth into straighter position step by step, until you have a more beautiful smile. And unlike braces, these clear aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth as usual. An average Invisalign course of treatment takes about a year. Youll return to the practice every 6 to 8 weeks for adjustments and to check progress. Since Invisalign is practically invisible, theres no unwarranted attention to your mouth. In fact, very few people will notice at all - unless you tell them. Theyre comfortable to wear and remove easily when you eat, brush, and floss. The cost and treatment time of Invisalign in most cases is comparable to traditional braces. However, as with other medical treatments, only your doctor can determine the cost, based on your specific needs. The best part about the whole process is that most people wont even know youre straightening your teeth!

Mouth Guard

Sporting accidents are one of the most common causes of dental injury. Every year thousands of people, including young children, are treated for dental injuries that could have been avoided or minimised by wearing a protective custom-fitted mouthguard. People of all ages, who are involved in sports where there is a risk of contact to the face, should protect their teeth with a properly fitted mouthguard. Damaged or dislodged teeth, broken jaws and cut lips can be sustained when playing sport. A mouthguard helps absorb and spread the impact of a blow to the face, which might otherwise result in an injury to the mouth or jaw. Dental injuries can result in time off school or work to recover, can be painful and disfiguring, and may involve lengthy and expensive dental treatment. The cost of an injury to your teeth or jaw far exceeds the cost of a custom-fitted mouthguard. Over the counter mouth guards do not offer the snug, comfortable fit that a custom mouth guard can nor can they offer an adequate level of protection. Talk to us about creating a customized mouth guard for any sports enthusiast. Mouthguards should be worn whilst playing and training for any sport where there is the potential for contact to the face. It is essential to wear a mouthguard while playing football, and while playing any other sports where there is a chance of being hit in the jaw or head. These sports include hockey, netball, baseball, basketball and even skateboarding and skiing. Here at Finesse Dental we offer Fortress Mouthguards. Fortress Mouthguards are made from tough thermoplastic layers that protect your teeth, are comfortable and custom fitted and come in a huge range of colours, colour combinations and logo printings. They are also manufactured by a 100% Australian-owned Company which uses only TGA-approved materials.

Root canals

The main aim of root canal treatment also known as endodontic treatment is to save a tooth that has been badly damaged due to decay, disease or injury. When the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury root therapy is needed.

Infection or inflammation of the pulp can be caused by:

Repeated dental work to the toothBreakdown of a filling or crown

A deep cavity

Trauma

Gum disease

Crack or chip in the tooth

Extreme wear

Symptoms may include pain, sensitivity to heat or cold, tooth discolouration and swelling or soreness in the gums surrounding the tooth. If the pulp cannot repair itself it will initially become inflamed. If not treated it will die and become infected. It is important to contact us at Finesse Dental as soon as possible if you experience any of the symptoms of an infected pulp.
