Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads

Alexander McArthur, III, MD, is one of the senior partners here at the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. Joining the practice in 1985, Dr. McArthur received his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, earning the John Gibbon Award for best surgical student in the medical school. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut-Hartford Hospital. He was then selected by Duke University for their prestigious plastic surgery residency program. Dr. McArthur then went to Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky, for a hand surgery fellowship, and currently practices at our institute as a certified plastic surgeon. Williamsburg patients and beyond are delighted to have his expertise on their side.

Local Hampton Roads plastic surgeon Peter Vonu, MD, received his medical degree and completed his surgical residency at the Medical College of Ohio. During his plastic surgery residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr. Vonu discovered his greatest interest was in cosmetic procedures and went on to continue his training in cosmetic surgery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Vonu is a local Hampton Roads plastic surgeon, board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was named in Hampton Roads Magazine‘s Top Doc’s Hall of Fame in Plastic Surgery. He is an active member in many professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, Lipoplasty Society of North America, and the Medical Society of Virginia.

Michael F. Zwicklbauer, MD, FACS, is called “Dr. Z” by patients and fellow Hampton Roads plastic surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. He joined the practice in 1997. “Dr. Z” received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts, where he received the Charles Eckert Award for Exceptional Achievement in Surgery. He was then selected for a hand fellowship, specializing in microsurgery at the University of Miami, followed by a fellowship in plastic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia.

T. Randall (Randy) Blanchard, MD, FACS, joined Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in 1999. He is a fully trained plastic surgeon, having received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his general surgical training at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He then completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Tennessee and now practices as a local cosmetic surgeon. Williamsburg, Hampton Roads and surrounding-area patients appreciate his compassionate approach to patient care and deep knowledge of the intricacies of surgical procedures. Dr. Blanchard is Board Certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery. He was named in Hampton Roads Magazine‘s Top Doc’s Hall of Fame in Plastic Surgery. He is an active member in many professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Medical Society of Virginia, and Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

Michael S. Lofgren, MD, is a practicing plastic surgeon who earned his MD and completed his General Surgery Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA. Dr. Lofgren completed a Plastics Fellowship at University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He has been honored with awards including the EVMS Department of Surgery Chief Resident of the Year and the Dr. John Baker Award for outstanding Senior Surgical Resident for his work as a plastic surgeon. Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton Roads, and surrounding-area patients appreciate Dr. Lofgren’s compassionate approach to patient care and his enormous resource of medical knowledge. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
