About Mr. Daniel Ezra - Harley Street

Mr. Daniel Ezra is a Consultant Oculofacial and Ophthalmic Surgeon based at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. His specialty area focus on eyelid surgery, lacrimal surgery and orbital disease. 

He has a special interest in surgical and non-surgical facial cosmetic treatments. 

 Mr. Ezra graduated from Cambridge University and undertook his higher surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. This was followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Adnexal surgery at Moorfields and also as in Interface Fellow in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. 

Mr. Ezra is currently a consultant at Moorfields where he is the research lead for eyelid disease and also the Training Director for oculoplastic surgery.

He successfully performed revision surgery on both my eyes

5 50 Eyelid Surgery

Having had upper and lower blepharoplasty three years ago with a different consultant from the North East, I was left with embarrassing cosmetic appearance, persistent pain, and low esteem.

I visited various consultants on the NHS for different opinions but with no real success. A friend then suggested Moorfields Hospital, and looking online, I chose this option. From my first visit to see him until the present time, I have in no way been disappointed. I found him to be very approachable and sympathetic. He successfully performed revision surgery on both my eyes. I am extremely pleased with the treatment I received and the end result. I was greatly impressed from start to finish with the treatment from Mr. Ezra, Moorfields staff, and secretary, Karen Papier. I would definitely recommend Mr. Ezra and Moorfields to anyone wishing to have treatment, and only wish I had thought to visit there in the very beginning.

Biography:
Daniel Ezra read Medicine at Cambridge University and then at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. He graduated with degrees in Medicine and the History and Philosophy of Science, winning several prizes and awards.  After initial experience in Neurology and Neurosurgery, he undertook higher surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Mr. Ezra's research into eyelid laxity led to a doctorate (M.D. degree) which was awarded the Sir Lionel Whitby Medal and Prize by the University of Cambridge for a thesis of ‘exceptional merit’. This research was also awarded the Syme Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.  His subsequent research as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer was awarded further prizes including the ESOPRS award, BOPSS award, British Thyroid Association prize.
Mr. Ezra’s subspecialist expertise in functional and aesthetic oculofacial surgery was developed over several years through advanced subspecialty training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and as an Interface Fellow in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Nottingham. 
Daniel Ezra is currently a full-time consultant at the Adnexal Department at Moorfields Eye Hospital where he specialises in all aspects of eyelid and lacrimal disease. He is also the research lead for the department and runs the [Treatment name removed] service dealing predominantly with abnormalities of eyelid twitching and facial paralysis. He is also the endoscopic lacrimal surgery lead at Moorfields.
