What I saw in the mirror so far it looks great

5 50 Mole Removal • Paid: £590

I had a split ear repaired today. The staff are very professional and the clinic is very clean. Dr Tam was great very clear and reassuring, spoke to me throughout. I won’t know the final outcome until next week but what I saw in the mirror so far it looks great.

I can see great improvement to how tired my eyes looked before

5 50 Dermal Fillers • Paid: £390

I had dermal fillers/tear trough filling and I am very happy with the results. I can see great improvement to how tired my eyes looked before and I would 100% recommend this clinic. I have always had tired looking eyes, this is the best-spent thing I did for my face.

Very friendly staff, the doctor definitely knows what they are doing and is absolutely trustworthy. Immaculately clean operation theatre, both Goring and Reading clinics are top notch.

This clinic was exceptional, I felt totally at ease

5 50 Skin Tag Removal • Paid: £290

I went to have a large skin tag removed from a delicate area. Had it since birth and had been meaning to have it removed for years.

This clinic was exceptional, I felt totally at ease. No pressure to have it done, but chose to have it done there and then in case I lost my nerve. The staff there were superb.

Liposuction is an uncomfortable surgery, but the staff were fantastic

5 50 Liposuction

I had liposuction at this clinic just yesterday. It’s still too early to judge the results, but I’m already looking slimmer. The staff were brilliant. Before we began, they explained all my options to me in layman’s terms, I understood everything. There was a bit of discomfort, but they gave me some medication for this. The procedure lasted one and a half to two hours.

I received a warm welcome. I appreciated how open and honest they were about both procedure and pricing. Liposuction is an uncomfortable surgery, but the staff were fantastic. They provided excellent support throughout.

The clinic had very nice surroundings - everything was clean and bright

5 50 Skin Tag Removal

There were a few other clinics in Reading, but this one was easily accessible. I’m happy with the results of my skin tag removal (the tag was on my neck). Initially, there was a mark, but everything’s faded now.

The staff were friendly and I like that they explained everything. I was given a local anaesthetic, so I didn’t actually feel pain. We had a follow-up appointment two weeks later. The clinic had very nice surroundings - everything was clean and bright. I’d recommend The Chiltern if someone wanted a similar procedure done.

It was excellent value for money and the procedure left no visible scar

5 50 Mole Removal

Chiltern was the first clinic to respond to my inquiry, so I had a mole removal done with them. It was excellent value for money and the procedure left no visible scar. I’d recommend them.

The clinic is great. Reception staff and everybody else was really professional. They gave me some aftercare cream at the follow-up. Staff were friendly and well-trained.

They did exactly what was promised

5 50 Birthmark Removal

The Chiltern had good reviews for birthmark removal. These reviews were accurate; I’m satisfied with the removal they did. They quoted me based on a few different factors, and we stuck to this agreed upon price. I’ve got my final check-up tomorrow.

The clinic made a good first impression. Staff were very professional and the treatment went fine. They did exactly what was promised. It was a painless procedure, and I didn’t require any medication. I’d recommend them to others.

Dear Mrs. Hodson Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted to have helped with your daughter's birthmark. The team at Chiltern Medical Clinic

My first impression of the clinic was good

4 50 Laser Hair Removal

I’m happy with the results of my laser hair removal at Chiltern. I’m not sure what other clinics are charging, but I’d pay the same price again for the quality work they did. Someone recommended them to me.

My first impression of the clinic was good. I had to travel a long way to get there, but they were relatively accessible. Perhaps they could open another branch slightly further to the west though. This would make travelling to them easier.

Dear Lynne Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that you are happy with our services and we also hope that our business will grow and open more branches soon in order to make other cutomers happy.

They got the job done and the guy who did it was very professional

Skin Tag Removal

I had my skin tag removed at Chiltern because it was nearby and available at the time. I hadn’t been to private healthcare before, so it was quite expensive compared to NHS rates, but they got the job done and the guy who did it was very professional.

The team was friendly and helpful. There’s a little mark but they prepared me for this before the time (a tiny scar is better than a skin tag, though). I had my stitches checked with a local nurse afterwards. Everything went fine.

Dear Charlotte Thank you for your review and kind words, we are very glad that you are happy with the outcome. The mark will continue to improve as scars generally take 18 months to settle. It was lovely meeting you. Kindest regards The Team at Chiltern Medical Clinic

He really listened to what I wanted and did his best to provide it

Age Spots Removal

This clinic offered the treatment I was interested in, so I went with them for my age spots removal. They gave me a fair price and I’m happy with the results. I didn’t need any aftercare products or follow-ups.

The staff were very welcoming and Dr. Munnelly was lovely too. I found him to be very professional. He really listened to what I wanted and did his best to provide it.

The clinic is very professional and the staff are informative without being pushy

5 50 Facial Thread Veins Treatment

I had facial thread veins treatment here. The clinic is close to me and they’ve got good reviews. It was expensive, but they did exactly what they said they would. I did think I was going to have another session with them, but there’s been no need for this.

The clinic is very professional and the staff are informative without being pushy (they’re such nice people!). After my treatment, I had a consultation for another treatment. I may use them again in the future. I was very impressed with the quality of the treatment and the staff's friendliness.

I am happy with the information and results

4 50 Acne Treatment

I went for a Acne treatment examination and I was provided various options to get the process started for my procedure. I was happy that they were able to narrow down the issue and the best solution for my problem. I am happy with the information and results of the examination however more than anything else it is a matter of gathering my finances.

I chose this clinic because it was actually convenient and the lady who assisted me was great. The clinic was clean and friendly people to deal with.

Doctor had a fairly quick but professional look at my skin

3.5 50 Medical Aesthetics Specialist Consultation

Doctor had a fairly quick but professional look at my skin and confirmed Rosacea and we agreed that I would have a trail area tested with laser treatment at no cost. He said that I would notice the difference immediately, but to be honest my skin looks at the moment like I have had a mild scrape, with a number of small scabs (although they are actually under the surface of the skin). So the immediate change is yet to be evident, and I will reserve judgment on the effectiveness of the treatment for another week or so

Professional, and to be fair I have not paid anything yet and they said to see whether treatment worked. 1/2 a week on, I am still not sure whether to continue for the full face laser treatment as it is clear I may look like I have been involved in an accident for a week or so until the scabs within the capillaries fade away...! Let's see if it works!

Biography:

GMC Number:  1309377

MB Ch.B D(Obst)RCOG

Dr Stephen Tristram is an Associate Specialist in vascular surgery, and extremely well respected in his field. He has appeared on BBC Television’s The One Show discussing the treatment of varicose veins and demonstrating an innovative non-surgical technique available at Chiltern Medical Clinic. He was involved in the development of ultrasound-guided techniques for the treatment of varicose veins and ran a large European study in 2001. He lectures widely on his interests and sits on The BUPA Consensus panel for vascular treatments.

His expertise is in the scanning and treatment by injection and compression sclerotherapy of leg veins. This technique allows for the treatment of larger blue veins (reticular and varicose veins) which, in the past, would only be responsive to surgical treatment. Also the use of ‘foam’ as the agent which is injected has revolutionised the treatment of larger leg veins by injection.

He uses a Duplex scanner which allows him to identify problems in the larger vessels such as “leaking” valves and perforator veins, which are the usual source of thread veins and varicose veins. The scanner also allows him to accurately visualise and safely inject larger veins, which would sometimes be impossible with the naked eye. It is important to provide the right compression to these veins after treatment and we provide the correct medical grade compression stockings for this purpose.

Dr Tristram injects small thread veins and Dr Munnelly uses the Nd:YAG laser and the KTP to treat these veins. We are very happy that we can provide a very comprehensive and up-to-date service for the treatment of the vast majority of leg veins problems.

Biography:

I have assisted Dr Munnelly since 2019 in the consultation process, consenting, test patching and treatment of vascular lesions with the KTP and Nd Yag lasers (532nm and 1064nm wavelengths respectively. We have two clinics and we have the Excel V and Excel V + laser (vascular lasers in each clinic).

We treat Facial Telangiectasias, Papular Telangiectasias, Capillary Haemangiomas (spider naevi) and Campbell De Morgan lesions on the face and the entire body. We treat venous lakes of the lips with the Nd Yag 1064nm wavelength. We treat the vascular and inflammatory components of facial Acne Rosacea with the KTP laser; we get a very good outcome even with one single treatment in many cases. We treat Port Wine stains very effectively although I have not personally treated this condition to date.

I have gained considerable experience in this area and I feel the method by which I have learnt; effectively a partnership programme has been the ideal way to gain the thorough practical knowledge of this speciality and Dr Munnelly has passed on his own knowledge and experience of 20 years in this field. I have witnessed and adapted his thorough approach to treatments and his insistence on patient reviews to access outcomes and patient and indeed Doctor/Therapist satisfaction with treatments.

I am proud to have been accepted as a member of the BMLA (British Medical Laser Association) in 2023 and Dr Munnelly and I both attended the annual conference in Cardiff. We will look forward to our continued BMLA membership and to attend next year’s conference.

To date we have performed hundreds of  laser consultations / treatments / reviews.
