I have always had hooded eyelids. About a year ago the hooding became so bad that I knew I had to get my eyes done. It was affecting my vision. I put it off for years because I have seen many people (with the financial resources to get the best work done) whose eyes do not look natural. They look continuously surprised. I ran into so many people that looked like that, that I assumed that was what you looked like after having upper eyelid surgery. I interviewed three doctors before deciding on Dr Elif from Medhera Health Clinic because I was concerned that I wouldn’t look like myself after surgery. My surgery could have been covered by insurance but I chose to pay out of pocket because Dr. Elif is that good! I chose her because she was the most thorough in explaining my procedure and she promised me that my eyes would look natural. The whole experience was seamless. Everyone who works in her office is pleasant, knowledgeable, and competent. You can tell they all love working there and it shows in how they work. Phone calls were returned promptly. They took the time to answer my questions. They sent multiple reminders for appts and were flexible in scheduling. Dr. Elif is a kind, caring doctor. That wasn’t something I required in my surgeon but it amazingly made the whole experience enjoyable. Even the surgery was enjoyable. She played a great musical soundtrack which was relaxing and she explained what she was doing throughout the process. I found that very comforting. Her follow-up after surgery was very thorough and my eyes healed beautifully. I highly recommend going to see her before you make your decision. She is the best at what she does and it shows.
