He has been a member of Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery for the last 8 years and also a member of the Oriental Society for Aesthetic Surgery. Dr Go has been in private practice for 18 years, beginning in 1992, specializing in the field of anesthesiology. He is currently an anesthesiologist at NewLife Aesthetic Center, and the regional medical officer for Asia Pacific under non-profit medical humanitarian organization Operation Smile.

He recalls deciding to get into the field he specializes in today due to the many challenges that it comes with. He explains that each patient’s unique reaction to medication leads to the lack of a reliable, standard procedure that ensures the patient’s complete safety.

This fact, however, also brings him the most rewarding part of his profession: seeing patient’s positive reaction to the given medication. This, he says, is a testament to their trust and dependence on the importance and effectiveness of anesthesia. And seeing them happy after surgery, claiming they never felt any pain, is Dr Go’s greatest reward (and relief).
