Arm Lift: An arm lift is a surgical procedure that reshapes the under portion of the upper arm, from the armpit to the elbow. It removes excess sagging skin and tightens the underlying tissue. Loose skin around the underarm is often the result of weight fluctuations or aging, but can also be hereditary. Following the procedure there will be a permanent scar. Sometimes fat is removed as part of the arm lift procedure. This will be excised (cut out) or treated with liposuction. If you have heaviness in the arms caused by excess fat, but the skin is tight, liposuction alone may be a better option.
