5 50 Hair Transplant

I underwent hair transplant surgery via FUT process. Afternoon I have reached clinic and by evening 8 pm i was at my home. The operation may give you minimal pain which we can bare. Doctor Krishna Priya mam is highly qualified and experienced doctor in this field.

The clinic staff and doctor treated me very nicely and cleared all my doubts with so much of patience. They have assisted me in each and everything with my surgery. It is been 10 months i underwent surgery still they give prompt response for all my doubts and queries. Overall it is a good experience with Radiance clinic and worth going for it.

The reason for hair loss is the most debated topic around the world for many decades.

Causes of Baldness:

Androg genetic Alopecia is commonly known as Male Patterned Baldness. The 3 main reasons for baldness are heredity, hormones and time.

Heredity:

Genes play an important role in the establishment of baldness. A person must have the inherited tendency to go bald early and hormones play a vital role.

Normal hair fall per day is 50 to 100

Approximately 150 genes influence the character of baldness. So, the pattern of inheritance may vary.

For ex: Within the same family, even though the parents are bald, the children may never go bald but the grand children may be affected.

MALE PATTERN BALDNESS or ANDROGENETIC ALOPESIA is a gradual balding of the scalp which occurs commonly in men, occasionly in women also. The gradual transformation of terminal hair follicles to smaller vellous ones with a much shorter growth period occurs in well defined patterns and is believed to require both ANDROGENS and GENETIC tendency.

No permanent treatment is currently available for Androgenic alopesia except for corrective hair transplants.

It is non scarring alopesia and results from genetically determined end organ sensitivity to Androgens.

Change in the Terminal to Velous hair ratio from 6:1-8:1 to 4:1 or less will be seen.

There is interaction of several Genes with Environmental factors. Usually 25% of men aged 25-30 yrs, 50% of men aged 50 yrs are affected by MPB.

HEREDITY—Inheritance may be MATERNAL, PATERNAL or both, but the penetrance of genes may vary.

So it is POLYGENIC inheritance with VARIABLE PENETRANCE.

It is a surgical procedure which helps to remove loose skin and stretch marks. At the same time it helps to tighten the abdominal fascia and muscles thus refining the contour of the abdomen giving a flatter stomach and more defined waist line. However, it leaves a permanent scar at the supra-pubic level extending from one hip to another.

This procedure helps eliminate the stubborn fat that doesn’t respond to diet and exercise. Types:

Standard tummy tuck: In this method, the excess skin and fat from below the umbilicus or belly button is removed. It also helps in tightening the rectus muscles and pulling the remaining skin from the upper abdomen down. The belly button will be surgically re-positioned.

Extended tummy tuck: It is recommended when the saggy skin and bulges extend beyond the abdomen to the hips or back. The incision extends to the back also. Tightening of rectus muscles and naval repositioning are routinely done.

Mini tummy tuck: Excess skin and fat are removed from below the naval and weakened rectus muscles are tightened. In this method, belly button is not moved surgically.

Endoscopic tummy tuck: This procedure is not performed routinely because the excess skin and fat cannot be removed; only rectus sheath can be tightened.

Convenience: The patient can reach home after few hours post procedure.

A tummy tuck can be combined with other procedures like thigh lift, buttock lift and total body lift; it can also be combined with abdomen, hips, thighs or buttocks. It can also be combined with Hysterectomy (if necessary).
