I am a TV show hostess. I have been with various TV channels for the more than a decade now. I joined a renowned organisation in London as a young dynamic trainee back in the 90s and since then have traveled across the UK to research cases, reporting, production and so on.
Being a responsible media professional, I do not want to be seen as a known personality promoting cosmetic surgery; especially to the young audience. Having said that this is to help those who might be in genuine need of cosmetic surgery.
With the hectic schedules of travelling, production deadlines, attending events, parties, etc, I developed poor dietary habits and lifestyle. This rapidly added inches to my abdomen and buttocks. Upon having my second child in Oct 2012, I told my boss that soon after my maternity break, I would like to join full time.
She agreed and after a week called me telling me that the organisation would like me to take a new role that of the host of the latest political debate show to be aired from Nov 2014. That was a wow moment ! I couldn't believe it. I had never hosted a show. The CEO had then just rolled out a project to assist women to take up full time work post maternity breaks and he wanted me to be the ambassador for the project. As the feeling sank in, I realized that although there was more than a year for the show, yet there was a lot of work to be done. You guessed right, getting back in shape is definitely one of those. The first thing came to my mind was to go under the knife for tummy tuck by a best cosmetic surgeon but I was convinced that other “normal” options would suit me as well. After six months in May 2013, I appointed a personal fitness trainer. After about 3 months of training, I improved my proportions, however, it was increasingly difficult to reverse the effects of about a decade of poor lifestyle. I told myself that by doing a great job as a hostess, I might be able to divert attention from my waistline. However, recalling my experience in this industry, I realized that the media isn't exactly lenient.
Upon a lot of research and talking to family, I decided to opt for cosmetic surgery. I took consultations by three doctors in London. But, cost, quality and privacy were three factors that I wasn't ready to compromise on. In London, I found myself compromising on cost & privacy. So, I started researching medical tourism and spoke with friends at NHS for recommendations. A friend who often visits India as part of a medical troupe, introduced me to some of the best cosmetic surgeon in India for tummy tuck found at Aesthetics Medispa. I wrote to the doctor one evening before dinner and I was pleasantly surprised to have a reply right after dinner and mind you it must be past midnight in India! The doctor invited me for a video-chat over Skype the next day. I was impressed by the quick response & his commitment.
The next day the doctor told me to restart my strict regime of work out and diet and not consider surgery right away. However, I persisted and told him about my failed attempts with fitness and diets. Upon my insistence, he agreed to consult me on cosmetic surgery ie circumferential tummy tuck. I had 2 more Skype session with the doctor and then made up my mind to fly to India to get operated by the best cosmetic surgeon in India.
I took the flight in March 2014, barely six months before airing of the new show I was going to host. Aesthetics Medispa arranged for a complimentary chauffeur car to pick me up at airport. I met the doctor the next day and we went through all the topics we had discussed over video. This time the doctor drew lots of diagrams and educated me with before after pictures. For the next 2 days I settled in the city and took a couple of tours around the city. The weather in Pune city is much better than Mumbai or New Delhi - whilst I was in Mumbai and then New Delhi, I was restricted inside the AC hotel and AC car because its too hot to step outside for a light skinned person. I am glad I chose Aesthetics Medispa for cosmetic surgery in Pune.
The staff assisted me well with settling down in the new city and was well trained to assist cosmetic surgery patients. The facility is hygienic, well maintained and I think meets not only Indian but also European norms for Day surgery centers. I wanted a natural looking Circumferential Tummy Tuck and I am very happy I got the same. If time permits, I would certainly consider a Breast augmentation in India with the same doctor next year. I am glad that I found the best cosmetic surgeon in India. I would definitely recommend Aesthetics Medispa to all those who seek cosmetic surgery. Good Luck !
