Graduate of the Anatolia American College of Thessaloniki, attended Aristotelian University Medical School in Thessaloniki Greece. Upon graduation he moved to the United States where he completed his General Surgery internship and residency training at State University of New York. Dr. Stamatiou completed his formal plastic surgery training at the University of Florida in Jacksonville under the mentorship of renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Bernard Kaye, a past president and founding member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Stamatiou then went into private practice in Clearwater, Florida affiliated with the Morton Plant and Mease Hopsitals. He was in private practice in Florida for 15 years during which he founded the Plastic Surgery Associates Clinic of Palm Harbor being the senior aesthetic plastic surgeon of the group.
