Enhancing the face and neck of patients is the speciality of this expert plastic surgeon. He is particularly adept at reshaping the nose of patients and improving its size and position. Minor surgical procedures are performed at his clinics located at Newmarket in Ontario and at Yonge Street in Toronto. Surgical procedures are performed at the St. Michael’s Hospital at Bond Street in Toronto. Surgical procedures performed include the reshaping or augmentation of the nose, facelifts, brow lifts, facial implants, reshaping the ears of patients and the administration of anti aging facial injectables.

Toronto facial surgeon Dr. Richard Rival graduated with honours from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1989. He then completed a six-year surgical training program in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery – at the University of California in Los Angeles and the University of Toronto. During this time he was trained by experts in the fields of rhinology (nasal surgery), general plastic surgery and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Rival also completed a year of research in Craniofacial Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children. He then traveled internationally to gain further expertise in rhinoplasty, nasal and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Rival trains residents and fellows in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery as part of the teaching faculty at the University of Toronto. He also holds staff positions at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto and Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.
