Park View Acupuncture and Chiropractic Clinic

Registered Chiropractor Member of the British Chiropractic Association and The College of Chiropractors. Jan grew up in Vordingborg 90 km south of Copenhagen in Denmark. At 11 years of age he had his first chiropractic treatment for low back pain and it was then he set his heart on becoming a chiropractor. In 1987 he started studying chiropractic full time. First at Odense Universitet in Denmark and then at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. After graduating 1992 he moved to Worthing where he practised as an associate for four years. Then he and his acupuncturist wife Sarah opened Park View Acupuncture & Chiropractic Clinic. Park View Clinic now boasts three chiropractors, two acupuncturists and a sports injury/massage therapist who also offers manual lymphatic drainage. In 2000 Sarah and Jan had a daughter, Anya, who enjoys going to a local school. Jan holds the post as Regional Tutor for Continuing Professional Development within the College of Chiropractors and he is Past Chairman and the current Secretary of Worthing Round Table.

Acupuncturist Member of the British Acupuncture Council Certificate of Beijing Licentiate in Acupuncture Registered General Nurse Sarah grew up in Worthing and became a Registered Nurse. While nursing she sustained a back injury and found that Acupuncture was the only thing that actually helped her. Sarah gained a Licentiate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1992 from British College of Acupuncture. In 1998 she went to China where she received a Certificate of Beijing. For years Sarah has found treating gynaecological and fertility problems very rewarding. She always uses the latest proven methods in her treatment. In 1996 Sarah and her husband Jan (chiropractor) set up Park View Clinic, which now has two acupuncturists. In 2000 Sarah and Jan had a daughter, Anya, who was born at home using acupuncture and homeopathy. Sarah also enjoys playing golf.

Acupuncturist Member of The British Acupuncture Council Certificate of Beijing Licentiate in Acupuncture Registered Midwife Gill trained as a nurse at St George’s Hospital in London where she worked for 2 years after graduating. Her interest in acupuncture originates from travelling for 2 years in Asia and Australia. Gill completed a 3 year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1992 to gain a Licentiate in Acupuncture from the British College of Acupuncture. She married and moved to Emsworth in 1994 and practised acupuncture from home whilst working as a midwife bringing both skills together where possible. In 2000 she gave up midwifery to practise acupuncture full-time, partly at Park View and partly from her home trying to fit in looking after her son, Jake.

After spending 4 years working as a masseur at various well-renowned health farms in Oxfordshire and Berkshire in the early 1980s, a chance conversation with one of his clients at the time led Roger away from following an osteopathic career choosing chiropractic instead.

He graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 1988 and in 1989 he opened Worthing Chiropractic Clinic practising there for 28 years. He continues expanding his knowledge and skills in related health care programmes and he has evolved his own unique blend of chiropractic including manual and Activator adjustment procedures, Cranial Therapy, massage and kinesiology into a highly effective system for the treatment of a wide range of conditions. In 2003 he was awarded the Advanced Activator Proficiency Rating.

In his mission to provide people with a natural approach to well-being, Roger compliments his love of chiropractic with interests in yoga and meditation.

In early 2017 he joined our team at Park View.

After completing her Sports Massage Level 3 course, Lianne joined the Park View Team in 2021.

In her teens and twenties she was national standard sprinter experiencing the performance and health benefits of sports massage before, during and after competitions. Having initially become a personal trainer, she then decided to re-train in massage and sports injury therapy.

While working at Park View she continues enhancing her skills gaining Level 4 and 5 Sports Massage Therapy and completing training in Kinesiology Therapeutic Taping (KT).

Highly trained she uses various massage and trigger point techniques, myofascial release and cupping.

Furthermore, Lianne is also qualified in Pregnancy Massage improving circulation and fluid drainage to relax mother and baby.
