Dr Sohère Roked

Job Title:
 General Practitioner
Specialisations:
 Sports Medicine
Biography:
Dr Sohère Roked (pronounced Sa-hair Row-ked) is our
General Practitioner with a specialist interest in Integrative
medicine. Her passion is to help empower patients to take
control of their healthcare, using a range of tools to achieve
this.
Born in England and brought up in Wales, she studied
medicine at Southampton University and graduated in 2003.
She has worked across hospitals in England and Wales,
working in the specialities of A&E, general medicine and
surgery, womens health, otolaryngology, and spent 3 years
working as a psychiatrist before becoming a GP. It was this
broad knowledge of medicine that made her realise that the current conventional
medical practise is far from complete. It did not provide her with the tools to understand and
address the emotional, spiritual, environmental, social, nutritional, lifestyle and psychological
issues that influence the health and well being of so many patients. Not all conditions fully
improve with conventional treatments, which is something Dr Sohère sees every day as an
NHS GP.  She has a strong belief that in order to achieve true health, you must look at the
physical in conjunction with the mind as the two are closely linked and impact on each other,
and this is often overlooked in conventional NHS health care.

Mr Leighton

Job Title:
 Physiotherapist
Biography:
I have worked as a Physio since qualifying from the
University of Wales, College of Medicine in Cardiff in 1997.
Presently I am working with sporting teams and in
occupational health settings, as well as at the clinic,
where I work predominantly with spinal conditions.
In 2002 I undertook the world-renowned Master of
Manipulative Therapy Course in Perth, Australia, widely
thought of as one of the best postgraduate courses for
physiotherapists. During this course I was taught by some
of the most highly regarded physiotherapists in the world,
learnt many cutting edge techniques and approaches, and
was provided with a comprehensive understanding of the best treatments available to physiotherapists
today.

Mr David

Job Title:
 Physiotherapist
Biography:
My goal is that in every session the client leaves feeling positive,
strong, energized and has learnt something valuable to use in the
future. From the outset I look to take a detailed view of your goals
and how we can plan effectively for the fastest results in a safe and
efficient manner and in relation to your lifestyle, diet, work, sport
and family commitments. I take every client on an individual basis
and will never run a generic programme.  I have a wealth of experience in training clients over a number
of years.
My interests in movement patterns of individuals will mean each session builds on the previous session
and any developments are re-assessed for your unique progression.  The initial session will focus on
movement, mobility and flexibility assessment in light of lifestyle factors and fitness goals. If your fitness
goals relate to a sport, I take a very detailed look at the demands of the sport - the physical and energy
requirements, the movement requirements, areas of likely injury, and we look to develop weaknesses to
strengths to provide enhanced performance and injury resistance.
