About Dr. Hagan McQuaid Chiropractic - Sligo
I am originally from Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. I came onto chiropractic when I hurt my back as a sixteen year old, fracturing my mid back. Having seen the benefits of chiropractic in my own life, from temperament to performance, and how my mother benefited, having hurt her back and being told for years “to live with it”, I decided to become a chiropractor. To this day, my family visit a chiropractor regularly and benefit from beautiful robust health.
I am almost fourteen years in practice and having trained at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in the UK, I am trained to the highest international standards of chiropractic education worldwide.
I am a member of the Chiropractic Association of Ireland, the only professional body for fully qualified chiropractors in Ireland, and in the past have served as its president and long standing executive member. The CAI has established professional guidelines and membership requires professional liability insurance and proof of ongoing education. I have also served as a member of the General Council of the European Chiropractors Union.
I am passionate about what I do and I have a very clear picture of what chiropractic means to me. It is not the chasing blindly of symptoms and body signals; it is about the steady rebuilding of robustness of the body and the maintenance of such for you and your families.
Our Office
Our office is somewhat unique. We have on site x-ray facilities. We also use paraspinal surface electromyography equipment (allowing objective monitoring of progress), along with computerised gaitscan and orthotic prescription when necessary and we are able to offer same day consultation and treatment.
