Spider Veins Treatment

Spider Veins Treatment - The Baltic Vein Clinic

The treatment begins with a consultation of a dermatologist or a phlebologist. Thermocoagulation is the most frequently used method of treatment of small blood vessels.Thermocoagulation is a revolutionary method of treatment of vascular tree, telangiectasia, psoriasis and rosacea. As a result of thermocoagulation, undesirable blood vessels on legs, face and other parts of the body instantly disappear.Vascular tree may appear on different parts of the body, especially on the face and legs. More than 70% of women and a considerable part of men face this issue sooner or later.Thermocoagulation allows removing even the smallest blood vessels which cannot be removed using microsclerotherapy, and the blood vessels located on the face or in the ankle areas where it cannot be used.

The procedure lasts for about 10-15 minutes; up to 40-50 cm of blood vessels can be treated during this time. After the procedure patients can resume their habitual lifestyle.

F Care Systems NV TC 3000 equipment is applied.

Laser and Pulsed Light Vein Treatment

Laser and Pulsed Light Vein Treatment - The Baltic Vein Clinic

The treatment begins with a consultation of a dermatologist or a phlebologist.

Transcutaneous laser therapy is closure of small blood capillaries both on legs and face, and transcutaneous closure of small veins using a laser. A laser ray is absorbed by red structures of blood vessels, high temperature is achieved and a blood vessel is closed. The procedure requires no anaesthesia; it is sufficient to make cold applications during and after the procedure. After the procedure patients have redness, oedema; scabs may occur. The following lasers are used:

Lumenis Nd/Yag (1064nm),

Wavelight MAYDON Nd/Yag (1064nm), Biolitec 980 nm diode lasers,

Dornier 980 nm diode lasers,

Wavelight KTP (532nm) lasers,

Eufoton 808nm diode lasers.

IPL system - closing of small blood capillaries both on legs and face, and transcutaneous closing of small veins using intense pulsed light. The following equipment is applied:

Lumenis Quantum SR IPL (560 nm), Lumenis M22.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy - The Baltic Vein Clinic

Start with consultation and vein duplex USG. Price for one ampoule 30 Ls.

Sclerotherapy is closure (or elimination) of an injured or varicose vein by injecting a special medicine - sclerosant in it. Depending on the diameter of the injured vein, the sclerosant may be applied both as foam and fluid. In order to inject the medicine in the most precise way, if necessary, we use a special halogen lamp - Venilite transiluminator. The sclerotherapy procedure lasts for about 30 minutes; after the procedure the patient must put on compression stockings prescribed by the physician that should be used for 14-20 days. Patients can continue their usual daily activities; however, they should refrain from hot bath, sauna, and, advisable, from flights.

Phlebectomy

Phlebectomy - The Baltic Vein Clinic

During the surgery all affected veins are removed through incisions in the skin (1-3 mm) marked by a surgeon prior to the surgery. The surgery is more precise if veins are marked under ultrasound guidance. In comparison with minimally invasive methods of thermal ablation: vein laser surgery, vein radiofrequency surgery and vein steam micro impulse surgery, classical vein surgery is more traumatic, and the recovery period is longer after such surgery. The surgery is usually performed under spinal or general anaesthesia. A relapse or recurrent varicose veins are observed more frequently after classic vein surgeries. It is related both to surgery technique and quality of the surgery performed which directly depends on the surgeons experience. This surgical method is applied if there is no opportunity to apply other methods of surgery. When this method is applied, only one leg is operated at a time. This method can be combined with other methods of surgery in order to remove lateral varicose branches.

Toenail Fungus Treatment

The choice of nail fungus treatment depends on the clinical pattern of the disease, the patients concomitant diseases, and drug tolerance. Laboratory tests, such as fungal microscopy and culture diagnostics, are always used to confirm the diagnosis. Combined therapy consisting of systemic and local drugs is applied most often; surgical nail treatment is used more rarely in case of specific indications. Any selected therapy is supplemented by curative foot care and disinfectant measures for shoes. The most common systemic drug: Terbinafine (the choice of the drug depends on the type of fungus). Local drugs (pastes, polishes, fluids) are usually applied in non-complicated cases of the disease or as an addition to systemic therapy.

Haemorrhoids Treatment

Start with proctologist consultation and rectoscopy (22 Ls) or proctoscopy (9 Ls)

In case of the third of forth degree hemorrhoids (in case of advanced stage of the disease) the treatment usually involves surgery using:

THD method,

Longo method.

The first symptom that worries the patient is the blood on toilet paper after defecation. This is a cause of concern, you just need to find out the reason. The symptom is sufficiently serious to consult a physician as soon as possible.

In some cases it may turn out that the reason was a small tear of the mucosa due to regular constipations. If the bleeding, even insignificant, often occurs, it may cause chronic iron deficiency anemia.

Rash in the anal region is often so disturbing and painful that is can be considered as a complication of hemorrhoids, not their symptom. Thats why different inflammatory processes may appear in the region of anal orifice. If the disease has advanced, the surgery is complicated, and there may be problems with intestinal content continence.
